You two are so inspiring. Suzy, don't you love these guys? Anyway, jeff. This was going to either happen now or in 10 years. Eventually, you were going to get married and have a family anyway right? I know you're brother's a little weirded out, but I think it's because he doesn't think you'll have any time for him. Trust me, there will be a day or two that you need to get away from the house, by yourself. You'll just have to give him time. Let him know that he can discuss his feelings with you. As for your mom, like I said, it is so hard to see your baby boy grow up. Mine's only 11 months old and I cry all the time about him growing up. That's just how we are, we're nerds.

I am so happy that you guys are getting married!!!!!! Also, let us know about the ultrasound!!! You're going to be great,

Ultrasound!!!
Hey ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We went and had the ultrasound yesterday!!! Man I don't know why, but the whole way there and while we were waiting there I was soooooo nervous. Kayla had to keep telling me to calm down. I really don't know why I was nervous.....I think I had read too many things onhere about people finding out bad stuff, heh heh. Anyways, the ultrasound was amazing!!!! To see my little baby's heartbeat was probably the most amazing moment in life so far. You guys know how it is.....It's impossible to explain that feeling. I can't wait to tell my son or daughter that he or she looked like a frog the first time I saw them, lol. The lady printed out a couple pictures for us and its cool cause she put arrows where the head and heart are and then she typed "hi mommy and daddy....I love you". I showed my parents and my brother last night. They all thought it was awesome. My bro has defenitely been coming around more the past couple days. I wish I could write more now, but kayla is starving, lol. Oh yeah!! She's about 9 weeks far and due 3 days before her bday on may 23rd!! Alright talk to you later!!!!

Congrats!
Jeff,
first off, congratulations! Second, wow lol. You seem to outweigh all expectations of the male population when it comes to the word baby lol. Its so nice to hear that you and kayla are so excited about this. I was truly touched by reading all of your posts. I hope I find a guy like you one day who is so ecstatic about becoming a daddy. I really commend you for supporting your girlfriend the way you are. Its amazing. I truly truly hope the best for you two. And as for the wedding situation, go for it. Life is way too short. I just lost my cousin(best friend) this past july. It was the hardest thing, and still is, that ive ever had to deal with. Not to mention how it was so unexpected. But point is, seize the moment. "dont put off til tomorrow what can be done today." so so true. And as someone else said in an earlier post, if you wait until your ready in every aspect, it'll never happen. So why not go for it. You love her, she loves you, and you have a little one on the way whos gonna love both of you. And as for your family, dont doubt yourself. They'll come around, its just the initial shock to hear that the "baby" of the fam is now going to have a baby. Well congratulations jeff, looks like youve inspired us all to write novels on this subject! Lol well ive got to run. Keep us posted on what happens...And god bless!

Thanks!!
Hey vanessa!! Just thought i'd drop in real quick and say a big thank you!!!! That's awesome that you joined in.....I would think that i'm too boring for everyone, lol. Thank you for those kind things that you said. It really makes me feel good, although i'm scared as well as excited. I don't know if that makes me not such a great person, but it's true....I'm really really scared. I am defenitely excited though.....Like I said....Seeing my baby for the first time was incredible. I can't wait to hold him or her in my arms. As far as the wedding goes.....I called our church yesterday to try and book the day, but they're all booked until january!!! Now we're really not sure what we're going to do. I'm sure we'll figure it out though. Things always have a way of working out. Thanks again vanessa.....Nice to meet you....Well....Sort of meet you, lol. Talk to you later

Hey jeff,

wow everything is going great by the sounds, you sound really excited. It's really hard trying to find a marriage celebrant sometimes isn't it, sometimes you need 12 months notice in advance, they are aften booked out, especially during spring, everyone wants to get married when everything is in full bloom. Hey hubby and I went to have our first ultrasound at 10 weeks on wednesday to. Wow it is amazing isn't it ? We could see his/her little arms and legs swimming around in there, and the heart beating flat out, 170 beats per minute. We have another ultrasound in 10 weeks time. That's such a coincidence that kayla is due to have bubby a few days before her b'day. Well how's this for a coincidence ? We are as far along in our pregnancy as you guys are, our bubby is due a few days after my husbands b'day, so both hubby and baby will be taurus. My dad, my grandpop, my uncle, my sisters husband, sisters father in law, my husband and my baby are all taurus. Lol. When the doctor said bubby was going to be born in may I nearly fell off the side of my chair in disbelief. Does this mean we're going to have a boy ? Lol

good luck....

Jeff,

glad to hear things are going so well for you guys. The wedding thing will work out. It definately doesn't make you not so good for being scared. I'm sure she is too. My husband and I were a little nervous when we got pregnant and we were trying!!! Smile it's scary to think you'll be responsible for someone. But, it's definately the most rewarding experience. Well, i'm glad you guys are great..
Keep in touch

Update!!!
Hey guys.....I don't know if you're still out there ladies, but if you are I just wanted to let you know that we are getting married!!! At first we were sad cause I called our church secretary and it was booked through january, but then we talked to our pastor and he is squeezing us in!!! We're getting married november 21st!! I'm soooo excited. It's also crazy to think I will be married in a month, but it is very exciting!! I think the only reason it seems wierd to me at all is because my brother is 29 and still lives here and has a girlfriend. That's all i've ever been around so that seems normal to me. Really I know that a lot of people get married at 20 and start their families around 20 or 21. Kayla is now at 10 weeks and almost 11!! Pretty much all my friends and family now know about the baby coming. So far everyone has been very very supportive. My brother told me that he thinks i'm rushing in to the marriage, but then again he also doesn't like change at all. It's wierd....Everyone says that the pregnancy flies by, but it seems like it's going slow to me.....I want my baby!!!! Well hopefully you guys will see this. Hope you're doing good!!

Congratulations!!!

Jeff, I think you're a wonderful person to be so concerned, you are going to be a great father. I agree with previous posts, if you put off getting married until your "ready" you will probably never do it. Finances are very important but a loving family is more important and the rest will work itself out. Take care and we are always here for you if you need us.

Wait !!!!
Hi jeff.. I have been reading everything that youhave been going through and I feel for you. And I know exactly what you are going through. My brother is living it now. He is 23 and his son's mother is 23. They were together for 4 years. They got pregnant. He asked her to marry him. She accepted. He moved into her mother's house so that they could be a family. That only lasted for about 1 month. He bought her a house. ( my brother was always a saver so he had money) they lived there for 3 months !! Then she went back home to her mother. They fought terrible for almost 1 year. So now.. He is selling the house, he is moving back home, and she still lives with her mother. They are not engaged anymore. And they did the whole legal thing so that their son is equally shared.
I am not trying to upset you. I just want you to realize that you will be taking on 3 new things at once... It will not be easy. And you should not rush into anything. A baby is a wonderful time in anyone's life, but add finance's, marriage and moving in together in the mix it will be hard.. Just think about it before you rush into anything...

You Are a Great Guy!
I won't give you tons of advice, as i'm sure you have now had plenty, but you seem like such a great guy! It's hard to find a young guy who is so considerate, and sensitive to this situation. A lot of guys either simply don't care about a pregnancy, or plain out and run! Kayla is a lucky girl and i'm sure you'll be a beautiful family! You sound just as excited about this baby as a pregnant mommy would be herself!!!
Good luck, and enjoy the next few months. Experiencing a pregnancy with someone you love is amazing! Have fun, and don't worry too much about the finances. Sure, they're important, but the money will come someway , somehow. Enjoy starting your new lives out together!

10 More Weeks!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!
Lol....Hey everyone it is me again. It's been a while since i've been back, but I haven't forgotten about you!! Man oh man it has been the craziest 9 months of my life, lol. Suzy, I read the post about the emotional rollercoaster and I busted out laughing. I think emotional rollercoaster is an understatement, lol. I love my wife very very very much, but man oh man has it been crazy. Nothing has been really bad or anything, but she sure can change moods within a matter of a second, lol. Living at her house with her mom has also been pretty interesting. Her mom is awesome too, but once in a while we have a difference of opinions. Its ok though cause I appreciate her letting us stay there sooooo much. Everyone tells kayla that she is sooooo big now, lol. She doesn't let it bother her too much. I just bought my new digital video camera so I am ready to film, lol. The only thing i'm still not 100% happy with is my job cause I only make like 8 bucks an hour, but its ok for now I guess. I'm still workin on a record deal with my band, lol. I don't think I ever told you guys about my band. I'm in a rock band called ten years from now. We have a website Tenyearsfromnow.Net. The website is still from when we were a little more punk, but it will be updated soon with our new rock songs. Like I said....10 more weeks!!!!!! I can't wait to meet my son. We already have soooooo many clothes and a crib and a nursery cart. I hope you guys are all doing good and I hope your pregnancy is going good suzy!!!! By the way, thanks to those with the private comments!!! You guys are awesome!!! Sorry I didn't get a chance to reply!!!! I'll be back soon!!!
