Medicaid???? Posted: 09-30-04 09:44am
First of all, let me just tell you that I
have my telephone interview for medicaid
today at 10 this morning which is only
like 15 minutes away, so wish me luck.
How many of you were on medicaid and did
it really help? My main question (and
i'm not sure if anyone will eve know the
answer) is that i'm going to continue
using my mom's insurance so that I can go
to this really good doctor that i've been
seeing since I was 15 (he won't accept
medicaid) but his secretary told me that I
could use medicaid as a secondary and
bluecross as my primary, so that whatever
my first insurance won't pay for, medicaid
will.....But I just don't know if the
ladies at the medicaid office are going to
want to give me medicaid if I already have
a good insurance? Does anyone have any
feedback on this issue and medicaid,
itself?

Medicaid is extremely amazing!! I think
its a must especially for any pregnant
teen. I got medicaid because well I was
hiding it from my mother..And my mothers
insurance..(blue cross blue shield) didn't
have maternity on her plan, so it was a
good thing I got medicaid anyways.
How do you get medicaid? What do they
cover and stuff.

I got medicaid. It covers all of my
doctors visits, sonograms (i cant decide
when I want them, but when they do them
its free), if I have to go to the hospital
covers that, covers the delivery of the
baby, covers me if I want to take lamaze
and parenting classes at my hospital,
covers the baby until its a year old then
you have to reapply and im covered for 2
years at the clinic I go to if I want to
go there for gyno appts.

I got medicaid at the clinic that I go to
when I found out I was preg. It was
really easy.I signed a few papers and
waited for them to send me my cards and
stuff. Sometimes u dont qualify though.
I have pcap medacaid. I'm actually still
on my dads insurance plan too until i'm 19
I think. .. I don't use it though except
for like eyeglasses and dentist appts.

My sister and chuckiedoll have medicaid.
My sister goes to free clinics but
chuckiedoll has a very good doc. He only
takes ppo plans but cuz he was our doc
when we were young and hes kristens doc
too, so he told alma hed accept her
medicaid plan. So she was lucky.
Isabelle will be his patient too. Only
its gonna cost me alot cuz I have the ppo
plan. Dammit. I wish I had medicaid!
But they would deny me lol
