I've had this pain for the past 3 1/2 - 4
years. It isn't constant and it comes
and goes. I'll have it about every other
month and when I do it lasts for awhile.
It starts in my back above my kidneys and
then moves up. It feels like the life is
being squeezed out of me. I literally
become breathless.
I started drinking wine hoping something
would help ease the pain. At the same
time I had some other issues going on and
the docs had wasted time trying to figure
out if I had ms or not. Well they didn't
waste time - I wanted to be sure.
No any type of alcohol makes me very sick
to my stomach and the pain accompanies it
a day or so later. I feel just "out of
it" basically.
Any thoughts? I also have been told I
have arthritis. Finally figured out what
the other issues were.
I'm tired of pain, i'm tired of docs
guessing, i'm tired of being frustrated,
i'm tired of dealing with this, i'm tired
of being tired....

What you have sounds the same as what i've
been feeling.. I get pain above and in
the area of my kidneys and up my back
right below my shoulder blades, it's been
going on a few weeks now...And I get that
breathless feeling also, feels like
someone is sitting on my chest! My mom
says gallbladder, I have a Dr. Appt
tomorrow....

You may have gastritis. I had that, it's
almost like a heartburn that works it's
way up trough yourself and it's caused by
emotional distress and other medications
your taking, spicy food, and alcohol. I
had it and was throwing up bile and they
put me on prilosec, you can get that at
the store the otc kind(prilosec otc) you
can try it. It may help.
