My 14 year old nephew has downs syndrome
and can not communicate well. Today, he
fell to the floor, grabbed his head as
though he might have a headache and began
to scream and was shaking a little. He
has never done this before. Could this
have been a seizure?

Yes this is most likely a seizure. If
they cannot respond/cannot hear u and are
making impulse movements then it is more
than likely a seizure. My advice : go to
a doctor.
