My Ip Address

Just a warning to y'all, that soon I will
be going "invisible" meaning that himself
is installing "internet anonym" -
therefore my ip will be randomly bounced
around the world.
Just thought I would let y'all know before
it happened so you didn't get suspicious

This is probably a stupid question...But
your ip changes when you move from
computer to computer right?

Yeah, but if I use himselfs computer you
would probably see the same ip because we
go throught the same router (we are on a
lan) but with internet anonym one minute
you could appear as a taiwanese and as a
finn a second later.
Your real ip remains hidden and you are
automatically directed over constantly
changing proxy servers.

Yes belinda it will.
Your ip is your internet protocol address
- its an id like a house address or phone
number which identifies your computer from
all the rest.
Really most issues come up when it is many
usernames from one ip and not the other
way round.

It doesn't change from computer to
computer, it changes from connection to
connection. If you have like multiple
connections to the same server in your
house, then it isn't going to be different
from computer to computer.

Yeah, so if I use himself's comp or mine
because we are on a lan you will see the
same ip for us because we go throught the
same router

If you have ten computer hooked up to the
same server then you will have the same ip
address.
If you use a computer with a different
server, like at a friend's house, work,
etc, your ip will be different.
If you have one computer with "a" internet
provider and one with "b' internet
provider the ip's will be different.
Or the same internet provider, but
different accounts....Ips would be
different.

The ip address is assigned to the device
connected to the net, and that's not
always a computer. In kia's case, its a
router or a switch. The ip address you
see actually comes from her router,
because her computer isn't directly
connected to the net, its directly
connected to the router, which in turn is
directly connected to the net. So your
computer at home and work would have diff
ip addresses, but mine and michael's
computer would show up as the same ip
address, since my computer talks to the
net through his computer, not directly
itself.

Or like this:
if you have one big house everyone in it
will have the same postal address
(gateway/frontdoor), but if you live in a
tower block of flats (so its like the same
building) but everyone has a different
postal address(gateway/frontdoor).
Or did I just confuse that even more
