13 Weeks... And Cramping?

Hey guys. Well, I will be 13 weeks
tomorrow (major apologies for not having
belly pics up yet, but then again, there's
not much there yet)! For about the past
week, i've been having lower abdominal
cramps, they feel a lot like the kind you
get before your period. I haven't had any
bleeding or unusual discharge, and the
cramps aren't severe, so I don't think
it's anything dangerous. I was just
wondering if anyone else has had these
kind of cramps before. Could it be from
my uterus stretching maybe? I haven't
been able to talk to a doctor or nurse
about it yet, so I thought i'd pass it by
you guys and see what you think.

I had the same exact cramping when I was
12 weeks. My ob told me it was completely
normal. It's just your uterus contracting
to make room for
the baby.

I would like to sayt that maybe its your
uterus stretching, you can always call the
dr tomarow and talk to the nurse, or even
call the hospital to put your mind at
ease, I know I had cramping with mine, but
if you are not bleeding then thats good.

Yeah I was gonna say stretching pains.
You'll get them the whole time! If they
are accompanied by bleeding or if they're
so bad that they're debilitating, then see
doc, but otherwise, completely normal!

Yeah, i've had them too.
If they get real bad or you bleed you need
to see your doctor.

Yes, I have experienced those with my
pregnancy...But just watch them because
what started out as just cramps ended up
in an unfortunate miscarriage. It only
takes slight bleeding and mild cramps to
loose your baby depending on what
trimester you are in also. Symptoms of
miscarriage depend on how far along the
pregnancy is. Very early on, it may be
nothing more than a slightly late,
slightly heavy period. Later, there may
be more bleeding, with passage of clots,
accompanied by significant cramping. Even
later still, there may be a recognizable
fetus passed with the clots. It is
impossible a year later to tell for sure
what happened. But since you are so
early...I would just tell you to watch for
bleeding...Because cramps are normal. Its
so hard...When I had my misacarriage it
all happened so damn fast...Before I could
do anything to save the baby. Good luck!
Can't wait to see pictures.

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage
idababy....
But yes early on in pregnancy and even
throughout you have to be careful about
your growing baby.

its okay, its life I guess...Just make
sure you know the symptoms because in my
case, once it all starts...It really does
happen fast and there is really nothing
you can do.

Hey guys! I asked my nurse about my
cramping, and she told me that it was most
likely just stretching. She said I also
might be getting a bit dehydrated, so she
told me if I started having cramps to
drink water. I've only had cramps a
couple of times since then, and when I
drink water, they always stop. just letting you
all know that it's not anything serious.
