Sex Without Getting Pregnant? Posted: 10-04-04 10:42am
My girlfriend has some friends who have
told her that there is a certain period
when they can have unprotected sex and
still not get pregnant. Is this true?
And if so, how would a girl be able to
tell? From my understanding, it is very
difficult to predicit when this would
occur, assuming it is possible. Thanks

Yes, its a certain time of the month in
some girls where they can't get
pregnant...But to tell you the truth...I
wouldn't go by it. If you don't like the
feeling of condoms... I would encourage
you to get your girlfriend on birth
control asap!!!

Yes it is hard to predict and takes a long
time to predict it too. She'd have to
monitor her periods and herself for at
least 6 months before she had an accurate
idea of when that time was for her. Most
women can only get pregnant halfway
between periods, but the chances of her
being different than that are so high that
you wouldn't want to risk it! The only
surefire way not to get pregnant is for
_both_of_you_ to use some sort of birth
control method.

Yup as erin said, you, well she, would
have to monitor temperature, cervical
mucus and other bits and bobs for a while
to get the idea of when her fertile time
is, even then it should only be used if
pregnancy isn't going to be a problem as
there is so much room for error.
You can...But i'd never risk it. You
cannot be 100% and therefore it is not
worth riskin it.

Hi there,
yes it can be done.. .B.U.T it's
difficult and takes close monitoring.. My
husband and I use natural family planning
and the billings method and have been
successful in avoiding pregancy until the
2 times we were ready to try and conceive.
It does take a concerted effort on the
part of both partners tho and u have to
make an effort to keep track of things
every day. Since we're married tho, stds
arent an issue and neither is an
accidental pregnancy.. So the method
suits us. I wouldnt recommend it
otherwise.
The blunt answer.... If you don't want to
use condoms at the .V.E.R.Y least, don't
have sex.
