Hello, I am new to this forum and I really
need some info! I am 36 years old and
have been using the rythm method for 5 1/2
years. My last period was on 9/14 and my
husband and I had unprotected sex on 9/23.
I read that sperm can live inside our
bodies for over 5 days and I am worried I
could have gotten pregnant. I have been
having sore breasts, a metallic taste in
my mouth, nausea, slight lower back
discomfort, sleepyness and fatigue and I
read these are all early signs of
pregnancy. Is that true? Could I have
gotten pregnant on the tenth day of my
cycle or shortly after? Desperate!
Please help!

I would say there is a deccent chance. I
would get first response and take it as
soon as it permits. Five days before a
missed period is the earliest you can take
the test. You could also just be thinking
you are pregnant and creating your own
symptoms. No offense but I don't think
the rhythm method is alright at all. You
need to get on some sort of birth control
dear, or at least use some condoms.
Children are huge responsibilities. I
wish you the best of luck.

Yup you could well have gotten pregnant.
Also you could be experiencing symptoms of
early menopause.
The rhythm method, or pull out is not
contraception, it is a very real pregnancy
risk and only to be used by those for whom
pregnancy is not a problem.
I got pregnant 3 days after we had sex,
but if you are fertile your body is very
hospitable to sperm and some can survive
for upto 5 days - some people will even
say 7 days.
