I have just turned 40. I have lost my jaw
line since I was 35. Now I want to get it
back. But I wouldn't do it if I have to
go through an invasive surgery. Do they
have any kind of laser surgery which can
do it painlessly with no blood. Please
educate me. Thank you.

I Finally Have a Jawline! Posted: 10-11-03 16:06pm
By jawline, I hope you are referring to
getting rid of the extra two chins! I
have had a double chin since I was a
teenager (a hereditaryfactor- since I am
not a large person. I just turned 46, but
4 years ago, had lipo to remove the
"extra" chins! I now can wear turtle
necks and feel really good about myself.
There was no pain involved, no blood or
swelling. Yes, its invasive, but I wish
i'd had this opportunity to have it done
30 years ago. The secret is finding a
really good plastic surgeon you feel you
can trust and listens to you! Good luck
to you!

New Jawline/neck - Yea! Posted: 11-01-03 07:50am
I had lipo on my neck and chin yesterday
(was getting a turkey neck). I'm 45 and
every morning I would "lift" my neck with
wishful thinking. I had to change the
bandgage this morning and yea! I notice
a huge difference already. Of course I
am black and blue from my chin all the way
to my breasts (almost), but hopefully it
will be worth it.

Welcome Aboard! Posted: 11-03-03 19:38pm
Hi, good to hear from another lipo girl!
I had a 2 1/2 inch incision under my chin,
my plastic surgeon got rid of my "turkey
chins" as well, but I did not have to
change any bandages. Did not have any
swelling nor was I bruised. I did have to
wear like a chin jock strap for a month to
keep the shape. After that, I wish I
could have done it years ago!!!!!!! No
pain what so ever. I think there are too
many bad tv reports on too many scapel
doctors, and that gives the good guys a
bad rep...... And with that, people are
sceptical............They snooze they
loose! Glad you like your new
"chin"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

O.K I have a question for you ladies. I
started to get my double chin a couple of
years ago and I am fairly young. Is
there anyway, besides surgery, that I can
get rid of it, or at least prevent it from
getting any larger?

Chiny Chin Chin!!!!!!!! Posted: 11-25-03 17:59pm
Saturn24, I am so sorry I can't give you
any helful info. I had the "extra chin"
since I could remember. My daughter has a
small one, she is 20 and wears a size 4/5.
She was a size 10 last year and since
loosing weight, its not as noticable.
This is one of the reasons I opted for the
lipo. I wish I could have done it years
ago. My plastic surgeon told me this was
an inherited thing. There are all kinds
of so called "exercises" that is suppose
to make it look less obcious. Lie across
a bed with your head hanging off. Open
you mouth wide, then close your mouth in a
"biting" fashion. . Do this over and
over for a few times. Suppose to
"tighten" up the excess. I tried all
this....But to no avail. Not only was the
fat "lipo'd" out, the muscle was tacked
up. As I said before, there was no pain,
no bruising or discomfort. I wish you
all the luck in the world!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you very much for replying. I just
don't know what to do about it. I have
recently gained "a few pounds" to put it
mildly, but I had it even before then. I
think your daughter (fairy godmother) and
I are in the same boat. Thanks for
wishing me luck!!! I need it.

Thinking About Jaw Implants Posted: 01-26-05 14:16pm
I am only 29 and 5 years ago I started
noticing this double chin. I'm a petite
person, size 2 but this double chin is
really bad. My mom and my aunts have
the same problem. If I get the lipo
done, would it ever come back since it's
hereditary? Should I get a jaw implants
instead? Please help!

I undergo a Lasik surgery last year, but
it was a tough decision for me because my
girl told me that im too young to undergo
such surgery (she’s referring to the
risk involved in the said surgery) but a
friend of mine already did it 2 years
priory to my LASik and he shared his
knowledge and informed the risk pros and
cons about LASik. He also mentioned that
as with any surgical procedures, there are
risk associated with LAsik, but in the
hand of highly skilled and experience
surgeon. Reason I made up a decision that
im going to do it. For almost 20 years i
suffered astigmatism and ive been wearing
contact lens for almost half of my life,
made me not to do things to the fullest.
After surgery for 2 months I experienced
night side effects (halos) but after that,
I able to see without the help of neither
glasses nor contacts. The best part of it
is I can now do things to the fullest like
diving and some stuff that I like to do
since I was young. I consider having LASik
a wonderful and a life changing experience
to me. Im very proud and contented with my
life right now and I feel good and look
good about it. It’s a life changing for
me.
