High Heart Rate Causes Vomitting? Posted: 10-07-03 12:05pm
I am an active 25 year old man. I have
been playing soccer since age 5, and in
the past 5 years I have been vomitting
after sprinting for an extended period of
time. It started off as every so often,
even when I mountain bike and my heart
races, I hurl as I ride. I've gotten
that used to throwing up that I no longer
need to stop my bike. Only in the past
year has it been so consistent, I have had
to cut back on playing time becuase I
throw up 3-6 times each game. I've tried
eating 2 hours prior to the game, i've
tried only drinking water and energy
drinks before the game, i've tried having
an empty stomach and still I find
something to spit up. I do have a
mitrovalve prolapse and diagnosed with a
mild case of asthma. If anyone has heard
of this happening before, please do tell
what the cause was or what types of tests
I shoudl request from my doctor as I don't
have insurance so I would like to go in
once and get the answers/meds. Much
appreciated.

I used to run cross country, and during if
not afterward, I would vomit. My coach
told me it was over exhurstion, and
normal. The fact that it is so often for
you, you should see a doctor. Maybe u
have an ulcer or something that gets
irritated when you are active?
Good luck
sorry if I wasn't much help

Hey, thanks for adding that info at least,
i'm trying to gather anything and
everything so I can try to figure it out
on my own as doctor's too often need you
to tell them what's wrong with you so they
can sign their name to document that makes
you better, otherwise, they'll misdiagnose
for months, maybe even years.
