Q: When Does the Hearing Develop On a Fetus?

I am 17 weeks pregnant and I was riding in my best friends car the other day and she had her bass turned up. I know my baby's hearing hasn't developed yet but when does it normally develop? When it does develop its probably not a good idea to ride in a car with the bass turned up is it?

I'm not sure about this so someone correct me if i'm wrong, but I remember reading somewhere that it's around your 20th week. They say you shouldn't listen to anything that is above normal levels of noise. So if it's too loud for you it's too loud for the baby too.
