I posted this yesterday but I think it was
the wrong place, so I decide to post it
here.........
I found this forum and I want to say that
I think it’s pretty helpful. I just found
that many of my friends have hvp, as one
of us was diagnosed and then the others
went to a doctor and took the test, &
of course, the hiv tests (thx god non of
us was positive in the last). One with
the hvp is one of my bros, and his just
about to marriage. The question here is.-
can he try for a baby with these virus?
He didn't tell yet his fiance, but I think
that is the first question she will make,
and of course i’m asking because he didn’t
ask his doc. I really appreciate any
coment, thanks to all

The hpv (human papiloma virus) is the
virus that can cause genital warts. This
virus is not one normally transmitted to
babies...Unless in extreme cases of
mothers who are extremely infected with
genital warts..Then the doctor may choose
to do a c-section. And as you said...A
lot of people are carriers of hpv...They
just do not know it. Carriers of hpv does
not mean that you will have warts...You
are simply carrying the virus.

Yea, He Should Have Nothing to Worry About. Posted: 10-14-04 11:08am
They say that they should have nothing to
worry about but, you should just inform
the doctor, thats all. Another statistic
on that is that 60% of young sexually
active adults have this so, let him know
that he shouldn't be ashamed at all. More
sexually active people have it then don't
have it. It's crazy. Alright, hope that
helps!

Thanks very much, I was asking because she
might be worried to be expose to the virus
trying for the baby. I think she must get
infected doing it without a condom, and
that’s way we are worried, I just read
that even without the warts some can get
infected, so how can a couple can try it
without infect the other, I know is not
hiv, but I do not really know; it’s a big
think and i’m feeling his pain because his
expectative of life just changed,
specially about marry and lose his fiance,
I love my brother, we r very close. I
just told him to ask the doctor and get
out of any doubt, but he will go first
with the urologist so he can get his best
treatment to remove the warts…. Thx a
lot again; if someone have this experience
before I really appreciate the comments.
This is a great site with a great bunch of
people :d

Well, after about 3 different opinions
with urologist and a gynecologist, the
opinions are indefinites. Some say if u
don't have the warts u can try it and
there'll be no problem, urologist and gine
says it can be but not for sure. Any
thoughts please ?

As for your question about a child being
born with hpv, it's unlikely. There have
been some cases where women with hpv in
their vaginal canals during birth have
passed the virus on to their babies in the
form of laryngeal papilloma, which affects
their throat, but this is quite rare.
I have hvp and I has had two babies...
Hvp wont hurt your baby at all.. If your
a girl they will haft to watch u close to
make sure that u dont get them while your
pregnant but if he gets his soon to be
wife pregnant the baby wont get it.. When
I found out that I had hvp I was only 19
but im now 23 and havent had an out break
sence my first son was born and that was
3years ago. just be careful
and think before u act and everything :p

Thx a bunch for your comments, but I
didn’t make my self clear as I see….. If
a mail have hvp, go with the Dr. And
remove the warts; by that moment can he
try with his wife for a baby without a
risk for her to get infected, she’s fine
and clear of the virus, but my brother
have the hvp……… I mean, how is the
proportion or chances for them to try for
a baby without a risk for his future wife
??
Thx again for all your comments, it helps
!!!

Yea I read the statistics of mothers
actually passing the virus to the baby is
extremely rare, so she should be ok if she
contracts it as long as there isnt warts
present at the time of delivery
