I'm not too sure what you mean but every time I go in to my prenatal doc I give a urine sample... Good enough?

They usually prefer the mid stream sample of first morning (ie in bladder overnight) urine.

If that isn't possible really it needs to have been in your bladder for around 4 hours or more, because that makes sure it is concentrated enough.

Also if you have drank a lot of fluid (more likely in the day than overnight) this will dilute your urine and make any test samples weaker.

I never had to take a 24 hr urine sample but I had a bladder infection about 5 weeks ago and every time now when I go to the doctors they make me give them a urine sample and go to a lab and take another to make sure the bladder infection is gone.

When I lived with my uncle when I was nine or ten they made him take home this big orange thing and pee in it for the whole day and night every time he peed...

He was addicted to drugs tho... I dont think they do 24 hr tests unless its nessecary, and I dont kno what it would do anything with pregnancy
