I Have Some Good News
Posted: 10-14-04 12:39pm

I have been working at a real estate office as an administrative assitant, for a while now. The thing is I am leaving there in december, and my mother works there. I don't want n e of them knowing im pregnant. It's close to my house so the traveling isn't bad.

Sunday 10 am - 6 pm
monday 9 am - 9 pm
tuesday 9 am - 9 pm
wednesday 9 am - 9 pm
thursday 9 am - 9 pm
friday 9 am - 9 pm
saturday 10 am - 6 pm

total of 76 hours a week in which they payed $9.75 an hour. This is the best job I have ever had, no taxes taken out or nothing, except my mother takes $375 for rent, reality hit when I leave how will I support my child?

I went to manhattan yesterday and got a day care center job my friend advise me to try out. I am so grateful, for her kindess and telling her friend about me. I start in december at $11.50 an hour 10 hours a day = 50 hours a week (m-f 8 am - 6pm). Then when the year begins, if I work more the wage increases. The bad thing about it is that I will be leaving 4-5 months after to give birth.

I have to go tuesday for finger-printing and what not. I believe things happen for a reason and I am so blessed to know that there is a god.

Wooow minimum wage there is $9.00?? I wish!! Its only 6.65 here in canada, but I guess we do get the free healthcare and all that here too, so maybe that cancels the other 2 dollars and some out?

Anyways thats awesome you got that job, I take it you will be moving then? What do your parents think about that?

Yeah $5.15, but states and cities can impose higher local minimum wages if they want. Like in alaska, its $7.15, and in oregon its $7.05
