Doctors Appointment

Hey girls,
i just got back from my appointment a
little bit ago. I have gained so much
weight! The doctor was like, michelle
you needa watch what your eating. But
then she laughed. So I hope she was
joking 
i've gained 28 pounds! 
whoa...
But yeah, I had my gestational diabetes
thing and they took my blood. So lets
hope it comes out good. I wont know
until my next appointment though. Which
is on the 28th. (i'm going every two
weeks now)
the stupid blood taking lady was horrible,
my whole arm is numb! I think she hit a
nerve! My arm is killing me! When she
went to pull out the needle she yanked it
out and up and it made me bleed really
bad! I have never bled that much after
getting my blood taken. And now my arm
has a huge bruise. Its gross...
But yeah, i'll take pictures in a bit - my
camera is charging.

My doc says your only suppose to gain 10
pounds every 3 months? :-/

A lot of people gain like 50 pounds so
you're doing okay. I have my next
appointment on the 28th or 29th. I get
back on the 26th and I know it's right
after that. I have to get the
gestational diabetes test then, but I have
to drink tha nasty shi† I don't get to
have a blood test  .
After I read that post about the flu shot,
I called home and had my mom schedule me
an appointment for one. I get a flu shot
on nov. 3rd, so hooray I guess.
Does anyone know how long after you drink
that nasty shi† before they can tell
whether you have it or not?

They know the same day. At least they
told me the same day that i'd have to do
the longer one. Then after the long one,
they called me after 2-3 days.

At my doctors office - I drank the drink
(which wasnt that bad - it tasted like
orange fanta) and then waited an hour and
got my blood taken. And i'll find out at
my next appointment after they do the lab
work...

I hate orange flavored anything! Ewww, I
don't wanna do it, but at the same time I
want to get it over with. Are there any
foods I should stay away from around my
appointment? They haven't told me
anything.... Maybe they'll call me.

My doctor told me not to eat anything
sugary that would effect my blood sugar.
For instance, dont get up in the morning
and eat cocoa puffs. Eat eggs or a piece
of toast...
Stuff with a very small amount of sugars
in it.

Yeah mine was a fasting, so I couldn't eat
anything past 9 the night before. Make
sure you ask, because if you do it wrong,
you'll have to do it again.

-=p mine tasted really really sweet I was
like eeeeeeee. Hehe I remember my first
ultrasound..I was giggliing like a baby
(note im like 14), and so I was holding my
mouth like an fool trying not to laugh.
Then I got a shot for my sugar level and I
screamed so loud they almost messed up.

dont worry about the 28 lbs, its all for
the baby plus you are looking better than
ever.
How much do you weight right now and how
tall are you??
Its better to gain some than not any,
thats for sure!
I hope you dont have it, and I cant wait
to see the pics!
