Ok, first of all, everybody's body is different. Some women cramp during pregnancy without bleeding. Some cramp and bleed, and some have none of the above. I have heard it all. "it's not good when you cramp, or bleed, it may be a sign or miscarriage." or "it may be a sign that the egg has planted itself to close to the cervix." doctors all have their own experience in what they believe to be a healthy pregnancy.
In my own experience, I never had normal periods and had to go on the pill in order to. Once I got off the pill to try to get pregnant, I think my body was messed up from it, making it harder for me to carry properly.
I've had 3 mc's since last oct all accompanied by continuous cramping, then immediate bleeding. They were all 6-7 wks along, and it was frusterating. But, I pulled through and got some help. Now I am 22 wks, and healthy pg. I had some mild cramping in the first few weeks with this one, but nothing like the others. Just monitor your own body, nobody knows it better than you. (not even the doctor!) I know this .........
Good luck and keep a watchful eye on things. Just don't stress about it.
