Is My Blood Pressure High? Pleeeze Answer Posted: 10-19-04 20:38pm
Can someone please tell me if a blood
pressure of 119/78 is high, low, or in the
middle? I have no idea what this means.
My pulse at resting rate is 123 on
average. Lol is something wrong with me?
Is it possible that because im very skinny
that my pulse is high? Hehe just tell me
if the blood pressure is high. Someone
with some actual knowledge on this would
be good cuz im scared.

Hi,
120/80 is the ideal blood pressure for a
20 year old. You've not mentioned your
age, your life style, your habits,
etc...
All of these things have a bearing on your
blood pressure.
A resting pulse rate should be around 70
bpm.
When you're asking questions about your
health, you're best off talking to your
gp.

Well im 21 and my blood pressure is
usually spot on but my pulse is up in the
100's. It doesnt seem to worry my Dr. My
bf has high blood pressure since he was 10
hes been on meds but the drs are more
concerned when that bottom number goes up
and urs is pretty much spot on :-)

You bp is normal... Pulse is normal for
an adult 8 years old and older if it is
between 60-120 per minute....
This is coming from a first aider... I do
a lot with bp and pulse tests with my
patients.. So you are normal in my eyes..
