If you are taking birth control pills, can
you get pregnant during the week when you
are taking the "sugar pills"....
I don't know how they work exactly....So I
need help!! From what I know,...You
cannot get pregnant after you have had
your period....But then again...I can be
totally wrong. Help!!!!!!!!!!!

Are the sugar pills when you take when you
have your period? Im not good with pills,
but you can get pregnant during ovulation
about 14 days after your period. You
should ask your doc the chances, or the
nurse if you call in.

As long as you take the other weeks of
pills everyday on time, then you are safe
for the week you take your placebos. You
should not have to use a backup method
while you are taking the placebos
either.
As for not getting pregnant after your
period, that is false. Women ovulate at
different times of the month, and
ovulation with sperm is all it takes to
get pregnant. It is even possible to get
pregnant while you have your period-it is
not likely, but it could still happen.
Always take your pills at the same time
everyday and never skip one single day.
As long you follow the directions to the
letter, the pill is 99% effective.

All these pills confuse me! Im glad I
have the patch! I slap that bad boy on my
thigh, and im good for the week! Hahaha
no color pills or remembering.

Well, I took all of my regular colored
pills on time and I never missed one. I
got my period on saturday, and my last day
was wednesday. I should start my new pack
of pills tomorrow (friday). I had sex
with my husband last night and I totally
didnt think of using another method of
contraception. Do I have to worry? I am
on the pill, but I was on the white pills?
My question still seems to haunt
me...Could I have gotten pregnant even
though I am on the pill (but on the sugar
pills)?
