Hello everyone!

First of all, I would like to introduce myself to you all...My name is cindy 18 yrs old and im asian. I'am a new member in this forums. I just diagnosed with lupus in march 2003....Yeah..I couldn't believed it myself why am I diagnosing with this rare diseease in this early age.... Im just browsing around the internet to learn more about lupus. Wow! I couldn't believed it there are so many people have the same symptoms as I did. I am still struggling with it. My main symptoms is light & sun sensitive, and have butterfly-shaped rash on the face. I have to visit doctor everyweek for checkup. Sometimes I felt like I amm not part of this world anymore..I can't get out the sun.....Staying awaay from the sun???? How???????? And you never know when or how the symptoms come and go...Like some disseaase there's a cure for it but lupus got no hopes for it..Wells I hope to get to kno you all in here.. And learn more about this chronic disease.

Hi cindy....
There are a lot of things you can do to help with your symptoms:
wear sunscreen *all* the time!
Wear clothes that cover as much of your skin as possible...Think light cotton.

Don't think of lupus as your enemy...Think of it as a way for you to learn to enjoy other things at a younger age...Smile
