College Email
Posted: 10-25-04 10:19am

Is it just me or does everyone find it useless? I really don't see the point in it. I still have the original college email account from my first school which I will be returning to in january, and another one from my second. The first one, has been there for like a year and a half, and I don't use it, I never did. And I find it really annoying because instead of sending me email the the personal email address which they have on file, they send it to the school email address. I just checked it for like the third time in a year and a half, and there is so much to read through. It angers me off because that is where they send all of the important info which I miss. I think it is just useless. I mean after you graduate, they give you like 3 months to give your new address out to everyone, and then they just shut it down anyway. Okay, I know this is not a very important post, but I just had to rant a little.

My college e-mail is can sort of be helpful, even though I rarely check it. I e-mail a lot of my profs. Just through my hotmail account. The only thing I think I use my college email is to talk to student services, proctors, and other people I need to get in contact with. Plus, they e-mail me a lot of events. That is weird that you can give it away. My college email address is... Buick0941@uwc.Edu
i'm not sure who would want my last name for their email addy. Hehe.

I have never heard about giving it away, so that is something new or something I missed.

I like my college email. I get so much junk at yahoo that I set the spam blocker on the highest setting: if it's not from someone on my buddy list, I don't get it! That soo would not work for my college stuff, cause it comes from so many different people.
