I Need a New Job!! ~vent
Posted: 10-25-04 11:33am

I am so sick and tired of washing dishes.. I want another job! I still have to wait to see about the photolab job and if I get that, i'm quitting dishwashing in a heartbeat! I wouldn't mind it so much if I actually got a raise and could leave at a set time every night, and didn't come out soaked and hurting and didn't have to put up with the inconsiderate jerk off rude customers who decide that they can't have people around when they eat.. They're far too important, so they figure they will just come in at closing or after and make us wait while they laugh and talk and take their sweet time eating Rolling Eyes we were supposed to close at 8:00 pm sunday and we were all happy about it counting down until closing.. Then we find out a 15 top thought they were far too important to eat while the restaurant was open..So we stay until they come in (9:00) and order their food.. And we are also open to the general public at that time and we have to stay and wait until that table is done eating and leaves to get the dishes to wash and then clean up. They didn't leave until around 11:00. I'm not sorry, but when a restaurant stays open soley because of you, you get your ass in there, eat your food, leave a double tip.. (yes double tip because it's far more than just a service when you cut in on the workers personal lives.) and haul ass out of there! Not lolly gag and sit there and laugh while everyone around you is working just because of your inconsiderate ass! If I get another job... Even if it is shitty, I will hopefully get raises, leave work at a set time, be dry, have a toilet i'm not afraid to caca in,(our toilet can't flush worth beans, the kitchen toilet I mean, not the public one... Hopefully) won't have people expecting me to break the laws of physics, and hopefully wont have to deal with inconsiderate snotty rude jerks who think that because they're rich, the poor people working to service them don't have a life to get back to after work.

Boy do I know how that feels, I used to despise customers. The food business sucks.... Keep trying to find another job, it'll show up when the time is right!! Good luck
