My first appt they didnt do much to be honest... They are gunna do their weird way of measuring your tummy to measure the baby, they do a boobie check, just do the over all like how u feeling and what not, they confirmed my pregnancy (each time I go in they make me to a urine sample) and they weighed me that it as far as I remember at 8 weeks they trieeed checking for a heartbeat but normally dont hear it till 10 weeks

:d that makes me feel better. It is really the whole needle/blood thing! I am soooo tired too, like I feel I can not get enough sleep. Uugghh I sit at work and stare at my computer all day...

How did u find out you were preg??? Can a hpt be wrong but c a baby on a ultra sound ???

I'm 21 weeks and ive only had my blood taken twice

once just for like mini tests and records and second time for like testing for down syndrom and spinal bifia and stuff... But its only a little tube and i'm a shot baby and it wasnt bad at all...

Whew!!! I found out I was preggo because I am always regular. My fiance and I have been almost trying since april! I was 3 days late and took 2 different hpt. They both were positive. Oh and my neighbor said you get a pap on your 1st appt...Is that true?

Oh I remember that I dont know if it was my first or second I twasnt a pap it was more of a checker thingie haha

And to reply to kitty. Yes, a hpt can be wrong. Are you pregnant and not showing on hpt?

Lol I hate those damn pap's too. Its very uncomfortable. I'm 14 29.4wks pregnant. I'm getting my second damned pap on nov 1 & i'm nervous.

i just came back from my 1st visit this morning, and they did a pap, checked to see how big my uterus is, and they also took some blood to check my blood count, check my iron, and other tests i'm not exactly sure of. Probably not what you wanted to hear, since you hate pap's and needles...But i'm the same way...And it wasn't that bad. My only thought was that I better get used to it, since i'll be having a lot more of the same over the next 8 months. I'm only 5 weeks, and my doc wants to do an ultrasound in 2 weeks. I'm excited, cuz we'll be able to see the heartbeat. Yay!

Yeah, I guess I had better get used to it! Did they tell you right away what your hormone levels were and things like that? I hope I can see the heart beat too...How fun!

I had 2 get my blood taken atleast about 5 times! I had a miscarriage so they had 2 check the levels everyother day and yeah it was crazy, I got used to it though. Wait im getting more blood taken this week to see if im pregnant again so I guess it would be 6 times.
