New Here, Looking For Friends!
Posted: 10-26-04 21:11pm

Hi everyone...My name is amanda and I was just looking around for people to talk with who are going through the same things as I am.
Im 20 years old, 23 weeks pregnant, and expecting a baby girl in february. Everything has gone well so far, but ive recently started experiencing back pain...Is it too early for this? Does it mean im gaining too much weight?
You all seem really sweet and any advice at all is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Amanda

just to clarify, that's a really good guideline, but depending on how much you weighed when you started, it could still be completely healthy for you to gain significantly more or less. For instance, if you weight 90 pounds and were severly underweight, gaining 50-60 pounds slowly would be heathly. If you started out at 170 pounds, gaining 30-40 pounds may be too much for you. Gaining as little as 10 pounds would still be healthy.

Thank you everyone! And its nice to meet all of you. I have tried warm baths, and that does seem to help my back, thanks amanda. Also, my mom found me a heating pad and that helps a lot...Im sort of becoming dependent on it at night. I think ive gained about 15 lbs...Its hard to tell since im not sure of my exact weight before the pregnancy.
I go to the doctor tomorrow afternoon for my 2nd ultrasound, so im really excited to see if she's still a girl and how much bigger shes gotten. She moves all the time now, especially when im trying to sleep. Such a brat...(j/k)
im really geting tired of being pregnant already...I wish she would just hurry up and come out!

Hey amanda, welcome to the forums. I am sure you are doing just fine...And if you have concerns dont be afraid you consult your doctor, thats what he/she is there for. My name is kristin, im from wisconsin, 17 years old and had a miscarriage awhile back. Welcome to the forum. Any names for your baby girl yet?

Aww...Well we're almost positive that this one's a girl...Unless he just has a tiny penis lol. I really have a strong feeling that its a girl, but im happy with either! Im having a lot more trouble coming up with girls names than boys, however...I get so frustrated trying to find a name!

Hope your back starts feeling better.

I think im just too picky...I like the name ella grace, but my last name begins with a g too, so her initials would spell egg...I dont know, maybe that shouldnt matter lol
i also like isabella and clare, since thats my middle name and my grandmother's name. I really like feminine sounding names and old fashioned names, im not too into the modern ones and unisex names

I am sure you will find a perfect one! Remember just as long as you like it, that is all that matters.
