Dr Appointment Tomorrow, Find Out If I'm On Bedrest. Posted: 10-26-04 22:35pm
I have a dr appointment tomorrow to get my
blood pressure checked. Last week it was
super high, I was swollen, and had some
protein in my urine so I now go weekly to
get checked. Tomorrow if it's still high
then i'll be on bedrest for a week to see
if that helps.
We got owens crib all set up, all the
bedding in it. All his
clothes/blankets/everything are washed
just in case. This way eric won't have
much to do if anything happens.

Is protein a sign of preeclampsia? I had
protein last time too, but my blood
pressure was 85/45!! Lol! I hope
everything goes well and that you are ok.

My dr said that having traces of protein
is okay, but if you have large amounts
accompanied by high blood pressure or any
of the other symptoms then they'll keep an
eye on ya.
So far my symptoms include:
bad headaches
high blood pressure
swollen hands (swollen feet/legs are
normal in pregnancy but swollen hands/face
isn't)
protein in urine
retaining water
nausea (my m/s was gone but came back in
the last week or so)
blured vision

Ahhh... Well nausea is also a sign of
upcoming labor... So be careful!!

Thanks erin! I had an nst (non-stress
test) 2 weeks ago because I was having
contractions, they were stronger than bh
and were actually showing up on the
monitor. My dr checked my cervix (which
hurt sooooo bad) and said that everything
was okay. I'm still having painful bh so
i'm realllly hoping that I don't end up
going into preterm labor. That scares me
soooooo bad! I'm a member of a group on
livejournal for prego women that are due
in january, someone had the first baby of
the group, but he passed away due to being
too early its soooo scary!

Hopefully i'll have some pics of his room
soon. We moved about a month ago and I
still have yet to find the box that has
the cord to my regular digi cam haha.
Thats how disorganized I am! I'm
seriously half tempted to unplug my comp
and wheel the whole thing into his room so
I can take pics with my web cam. I just
might do that tomorrow if I haven't found
the cord yet! Haha
we did his room in boyds bears, it's bears
with stars and moons, completely adorable!
Either way I should have pics up
tomorrow.

I had all those symptoms when I was preg
with mackenzie and was on bedrest and
ended up in the hospital for a weekend
with preeclampsia. It sucks so bad and
the headaches were soo painful I was
balling my eyes out. Good luck sweetie
