Still Hurting....
Posted: 10-27-04 23:59pm

It's been three weeks since my collapse in the doctors office. I'm on painkillers, and i'm already into three percocet a night, that doesn't even get me through the night. I haven't slept with my partner in as many weeks, I kick her at night and hurt her. So I attempt to sleep on the couch. I can't handle this pain for very much longer. I'm at the end. How do you get through the night and day know, feeling, enduring pain at every moment??

Unendurable Pain
Posted: 10-31-04 10:12am

I can really relate! Last wednesday morning, I awoke to such excruciating pain I thought I was having a heart attack! This was preceded by over 2 weeks of muscle pain and spasm from my neck to my forearm and down by the back to my sholder blade. Which of course, caused an 8 day migraine. I called the emergency room, talked a nurse and they tolded me to come right away. So after 4 hours in the emergency room, an ekg, back, neck and sholder x-rays, nothing! They knew I wasn't drug seeking because I never asked for any pain medication, I took all of mine with me, which is a wide variety up to heavy opiates for extreme emergency. These are suppose to keep me from going to the emergency room.

They told me to follow up with my pain management dr who I had an appointment with latter that day, who of course, increased all my meds. I'm on enough pain killers and anti-seizure medication to kill a horse, and yet i'm still in daily pain!!!!! Topomax, nadolol, flexeril, lamictal, cymbalta, primedone, darvocet, actiq, zanaflex, frova. Relaflex, even though a lot of these are prn, prn is too often.

Mia
