Not Clear On Ovulation Vs Pregnancy Posted: 10-12-03 08:51am
I am over 35 and want one more child. I
have read up on ovulation as my partner
and I are apart for long periods of time.
This morning the ovulation test I
completed stated I would ovulate in the
next 24-48 hrs. Today is the 12th. I
will not see my partner until the 17th.
Is it still possible to get pregnant at
that time?

From my readings the chances are slim but
I believe it is always worth a try because
stranger things have known to happen. You
usually only do ovulate for that window of
time. I am in the same boat though. My
doctor said that you can usually count 14
days from the first day that menstral
started and have sex on that 14th day and
every other day thereafter for about a
week you know 7 days and something is sure
to happen. I got pregnant with my son by
using an ovulation urine test. It said
that I was and I had sex right then and I
got pregnant but I know the next time it
will not be that easy.
