Get him for child support! Thats the
only thing you can do. You didn't get
pregnant all by yourself and trust me its
quite an expensive venture. Its his
responsibility to see you through this (at
least do his half). Both my mother and
my sister were pregnant at 17. Just
knowing how they went through life, just
hang in there. And totally take that
creep for child support.

I'm Pregnant Posted: 10-08-05 11:39am
Somebody was asking if anybody here was
actually pregnant - I am. I'm 37 1/2
weeks though. Not too much longer before
the big day.

I don't know if im pregnant yet, but I
woke up feeling really hot (hot flashes)
took a shower and still the same. My
husband said it might be my body
incubating. He is a rn. My boobs are
sore somewhat.
I was suppose to start yesterday but
nothing yet.
I cramped alot the day before my period
was due but nothing since.
Did anyone go through this?

sore boobs is a big one. As far as the
other symptoms, don't remember those, but
then again - every pregnancy is different.

How long do you think I should wait before
testing?

you know what? I tested myself as soon
as I started feeling symptoms. I was
that anxious (its my first pregnancy).
It was a weak positive but when I saw
that, I became pretty sure. And then I
tested myself again like three days later
and it was a strong positive.
The way I see it is, its $14 bucks well
spent - especially if its a positive,
because there is no mistaking that. If
its a negative and your symptoms continue,
then i'd just retake it like a week later
maybe. Of course I say that, but i'd
probably be the one to spend a $100 and
test myself everyday just out of sheer
anxiety.

i only found out today that I am pregnant,
but for the past week I have had hot
flashes (which are currently coming on one
atleast every hour) and stomach cramps,
the other day I went into my bathroom and
looked down and came running down the
stairs to my husband and I said to him are
my boobs bigger I was so freaked out at
the fact that they were super huge lol its
scary
is there anyway to stop the hot flashes at
all or even maybe slow the frequency?

I am 26 weeks prego and have been having
hot flashes for weeks now. I have alot of
stress in my life right now and wonder if
that has any effect. My husband left me
for another woman who is also prego by
him. She is about 2 months less than me.
My doctor said its my body reacting to the
hcg hormones. Does all this seem strange
to anyone else? I am worried cause there
are women in my family who have gone
through early menopause. I am only 28
though.

Hot Flashes Posted: 11-04-05 19:34pm
I'm 14 wks preggo. It is so nice to hear
others share the same emarrassment as i.
I have hot flashes several times during
the day, and it seems I have them alot
when I am inside or with alot of people,
probably because the room heats up with
all the bodies, many times it occurs when
i'm talking to ppl, man is it
embarrassing, people make fun of me and
don't seem to understand it's due to the
pregnancy. Any suggestions on how to
handle this embarrassment?

Hot And Cold Flashes Posted: 11-08-05 15:24pm
This is my 4th pregnancy and the first
time i'm experiencing these cold and hot
flashes. Since I am 37, I worried that
maybe I was actually going through
menopause instead of being pregnant. Or
that maybe i'm about to have a
miscarriage. I did have a positive home
preg. Test, but I had never heard of hot
flashes except in the context of
menopause. This is one of the few sites
where i'm learning about it. Thanks for
everyone posting about their experiences.
Good luck to all, and to the pregnant
teenagers... You are especially precious
to god, put your faith in him.

In the beginning of this pregnancy I got
the hot flashes. Often!! I am 43 years
old-- I know it was the pregnancy though,
not menopause

Im glad I found this site, I have been
freaking out for about a couple of
weeks... Im about 8 weeks prenant and the
last week or two I have been getting these
awful hot flashes, feeling like I have a
fever off and on and having a hard time
sleeping... I also suffer from anxiety
and panic attacks and worrying about these
symtoms has been making me a wreck. I am
havingn hot flashes. Chills a lot lately,
but since my morning (actually all day
sickness) seemed to only be severe for
about a week im hoping this will pass
too.. Id appreciate anymore info anyone
has on the subject

I hate getting these hot flashes. I
getting them usually between 4 and 7 am.
Sometimes I do get them during the day.
However I actually I have been getting hot
flashes since I was 22. I am 26 now and
18 weeks pregnant. So I guess you can say
I am kind have a "pro" at them; however
they are still scary. I live in fl so it
is just going to get worse for me (however
I will be moving to wisconsin before
summer starts to have the baby so I wont
be dealing with the fl heat). My
roommates hate me b/c I need the ac on
almost all the time. I can instantly tell
if someone turns on the heat. I have
learned just keep yourself cool as
possible to try to help from not getting
them. You still will get them but not as
bad as you think. Other than that when
you go to bed at night dress lightly and
make sure what you wear is 100% cotton.

My husband and I are ttc our second baby.
The first one wasn't planned so I don't
remember alot about the early symptoms
because I wasn't paying attention. Now
that we are planning this one, I feel like
a crazy person analyzing every weird
feeling I have. I'm supposed to start on
the 13th but for the last four days I have
been unusally tired and I had a hot flash
at work two days ago. Didn't have hot
flashes with the first. I enjoy reading
everyones comments. This website is
great. Well, wish me luck and good luck
to all of you!!!

I'm Confused-please Read Posted: 03-08-06 16:01pm
I was reading through recent posts on this
topic and wanted to see if I could get
some feedback from some of you. I am 27
yrs. Old and went off the pill last fall
in prep for ttc later this year. I have
a history of irregular periods and was
told that my periods might take several
months to become regular.
I went for a check-up the 2nd week of jan.
And my obgyn did a vaginal &
abdominal ultrasound on me to check for
cysts, blocked tubes healthy uterus etc.
Everything came back normal. Well, it
has been 5 months today and no period yet.
I have experienced wierd symptoms though
starting the last week of jan. My
husband and mom noticed that my breasts
were bigger. I too had noticed this
while in the shower one morning. Then a
week later I thought my period was on its
way cuz I had light cramping for 2-3 days
but it never came. I took several hpt's
just to make sure and they all came back
negative.
The worst thing is this. I don't
normally gain weight in my middle area, I
tend to gain in my thighs. Yet lately my
stomach has been swollen and my jeans are
tighter. I've really been watching my
food intake and exercise to make sure it
is not related to over indulgence.
Finally, last night I had my first ever
hot flash followed by cold chills. I
felt weak and shaky and had to eat
something. I checked my temperature to
see if I was running a fever but I was
not. All this to say...I am definitely
confused with a capital c.
Are all of these things normally related
to someone getting off the pill...I
thought maybe my hormones were just
getting used to not having the influence
of the pill? My husband and I haven't
really started "trying" to conceive but we
would be happy if we were pregnant. Any
ideas anyone?
Well my periods were also irregular and my
husband and I just started trying to get
pregnant in december 2005. I didn't have
my period for over 2 months and I had
taken hpt's left and right, I even had a
blood test done, and all the tests were
negative.. This week would have made 3
months that I had missed my period, so I
got curious over the weekend and took a
pregnancy test, it was positive, so I took
a couple more (hours apart )and they were
all positive, so on monday I went to the
Dr. To get another blood test and this
time it was positive..
