Is Is Normal to Get Hot Flashes While Being Pregnant??

Im 15 weeks pregnant and I was looking for some info about hot flashes and found this site. Thank god. I seriously thought I was alone. I work at a gym for women and alot of them had no idea what I was talking about. They have menapause and they are going through hot flashes because of their hormones and suggested that might be the problem. I do not get cold chills like some of the other ladys..My face getsd burning hot and my ears do as well. This happend once in a blue mood before I was prego but now happens all the time as im now in my 2nd trimester. Has anyone found any remedies? Do I have hot flashes if im not sweating and only my face is getting hot? Help! Are my "hot flashes" noraml or are they something diffrent since its only in one place?

Okay you guys that are pregnant and having hotflashes are not alone!
I got them when I was 3-5 weeks pregnant then they subsided, and now I am 19 1/2 weeks and they are back full force. I get them all-over sometimes just in my face my ears get all red and burn yeah. When it gets bad I will take a cool shower or eat a popcycle or drink ice water. It does help. The slightest raise in your body temp will bring them on so you need to cool yourself a bit. It works for me. Iam just worried about getting these things this summer I hope I don't get heat stroke.

I do not know if I am pregnant of not but lately I have been getting sharp pains in my stomach and lower back, my boobs seem a little sore and I am about 2 days late on my period. Does anybody think this is all in my head and am I just causing my period not to come by worrying?

Help me! I don't' know if I am pregnant or not. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 4 months but nothing happen. Last month right after my period ended about 2 weeks or less, I bought an ovulation test and tested. Yes, I was at the highest peck of my chances of getting pregnant before I ovulate. I have intercourse within 6 hours after taking the ovulation test. I have missed my period for 13 days. 2 days ago I tested if I was pregnant and it was negative. I tested first thing in the morning. I tested 3 times but it was all negative. I don't feel anything, just hot flashes (alot) and I had cramps in my tummy and on my back. I really hope I am pregnant! Am i??????

We just got pregnat. I didn't know hto flashes could happen until you were futher along, but I am only four weeks and I feel like taking off all y clothes and turing on the ac and jumping in the pool. I am so hot and people are looking at me like i'm crazy.

i have had 2 previous miscarriages with no valid reason.My first doctor appt.Is this friday and I am excited!.
Well I have started feeling the hotflashes and then afterwards I get a chill then get back to my normal temperature. I was also doing a such on if it was normal to have this symptoms but everysite seems okay with it.

Hi. I am pregnant for the second time but am only experiencing chills and hot flushes for the first time. As I did not have them first time around it is kind of freaking me out. And all the stuff about it on the net is really negative...I am glad to hear that there are others experiencing the same. For me the chills are worse and come on suddenly and my underarms sweat like mad. Anyone experiencing day time excessive sweating?

I, too am getting hot flahes all day long!!!!! Even in my air-conditioned workplace, I am getting them!!!! It's very frustrating....These waves of heat are driving me nuts...I can barely concentrate on my work!!!!! :?

I'm terrified I might be pregnant. I'd only be about 10 days if I were but I keep getting nauseous and throwing up and i'm getting hot flashes and stuff too.. Is it normal to get it that early?

I had an elevated body temperature since being about 8 weeks pregnant. I went from being the coldest person in the room to having about the same comfort zone, temperature wise, as other people. I used to take a cradigan with me to wear in air-conditioned places, but now i'd like to have a fan! It is in my 3rd trimester that I actually started getting occassional hot flashes where it is almost unbearable to tolerate heat. It may also be due to the fact that it is almost july and 90 to over 100 degrees outside. It was kind of embarrassing one time, because I was chatting with a supervisor that could potentially give me a promotion in the future and I started to have a hot flash. I could feel myself overheating, turning red, getting out of breath and my skin getting moist. I felt like a serious dork, but she has children and probably understands!
Oh, and in response to the person asking about symptoms of being 10 days pregnant .. I don't think it is possible, because you don't even have enough hormones to get a positive result on a pregnancy test at that point. If you have those symptoms, you should see the doctor. It could be that another condition is causing those symptoms, or you are mistaken and are further along in poregnancy than you believe.

Yes you can get hot flashes in pregnancy as I got them at work alot in my first tremester (spelling!)

Great to know that chills are okey. Am having an unwanted baby and struggling hard not to opt for a d and c. It makes things harder when I start going tru all this unexplained sympthoms

I am 19 weeks pregnant and I have heat flashes all the time non stop. Im pretty much on my own and last week I found out I was having a baby boy. It scares me when I have thes hot flashes. I never know what to exspect, I worrie all the time.

I am 37 weeks pregnant and the hot flashes are worse now then at the begining. Coupled with the acid reflux and the back pain, I can't understand why we women put ourselves through this. :d

this is my second child. My son just turned 7 and we are very exicted to be having a little girl.
