small annular tear in l5

I'm new to this forum..And am using it out of desperation and for piece of mind. I'm 24 years old.. Healthy weight... And active. I was involved in a car accident in september which left me with extreme back pain. I live in columbus for school and do not have a regular doctor that I could see down here, so I had to keep returning to the er who kept telling me my pain was just muscular. Since then they reffered me to a general doctor who requested I get an mri.. My summary said I have a small annular tear in my l5...Disc degeneration in my l4 and spinal anthrosis in the same area. I have horrible pain and just returned to my doctor today because I cannot cope anymore... I've been in physical therapy for a month with no results. My doctor was rude...Said my back isn't bad and I should not be having much pain...And that I must not be able to handle pain very well *which I objected to, I broke two of my fingers last week and didn't even know it* he said a spine center would look at my report and say nothing was wrong with me, he was laughing at me the whole time. My father's boss who has had many back surgeries looked at my films and said my l4 and l5 discs look completely black on the films and said healthy discs appear to be white...I'm wondering if i'm just crazy from feeling this pain, or if my pain is quite true. My doctor had me in tears because he made me feel terrible for waisting his time and hurting "for no reason" please somebody I need advice.

Hi there, I know where your coming from regarding the doctor. I have been in a similar situation and will not consult him again, I hope u do the same!!1

i urge you to visit www.Mattfurey.Com. The website contains the exercise program "combat conditioning". In this program are many wonderful execises but 2 of them will really help you with your back pain. I will try to explain the movements. The first is called 'wall walking'. Stand against a wall and take three steps heel to toe until you are about 3 feet from the wall. Now lean backwards, letting your head fall back, and try to walk down the wall until you reach the floor. I admit this this is scary at first, but persevere. This movement helps you into 'bridging' which involves supporting your entire bodyweight on only your feet and forehead with your body arched just like a gymnast. This sounds extreme I know but trust me it will fix your back. And if it is 'muscular' as your favourite doctor says then I guarantee it. The bridge movement can also be slowly worked into using one of thos swiss exercise balls. I have tried to explain the movements but please visit the site and read some of the many testimonials from happy pain free customers!!! Please act on this post.....Doctors dont know caca when it comes to back pain, matt furey does.!!!!!!!!
