the Most Interesting Night of My Life...

Wow - I had an interesting night...
At 1:30 this morning I heard a .H.U.G.E
explosion. It sounded like lightning
struck a car outside my door and blew it
up. It was insane...The whole house
litterally shook. And I put my hand on
the window next to me and I could feel it
vibrating.
And after the explosion there was a
.R.E.A.L.L.Y loud tornado like sound that
didnt stop.
My older brother and I were the only ones
awake in the house so I freaked. (i
thought it was a tornado) so I ran and got
my little brother and litterally yanked
him out of bed. (he has scratches on his
back now because he was on the top bunk
and I pulled him down) and carried him to
the pantry...Then my mom came out and ran
upstairs and got my little sister. (she
too thought it was a tornado)
it was crazy...It sounded like the tornado
was coming from every direction. And I
couldnt tell if it was getting closer or
going away. The sound just kept getting
louder and louder. Me and my mom
finally decided that it wasnt a
tornado...That it was the gas company
thing about a block from my house and that
something had exploded (this isnt the
first time this has happened, so we knew
the sound - but its never been this bad)
so I went outside with my mom to talk to
some of the neighbors and they said they
called the constables office and that they
are advising an evacuation just incase the
gas set fire.
So we got in the car and drove out of my
neighborhood (my neighborhood is huge so
we were several miles from it by the time
we got out). And we sat around in a
parking lot and waited for the "okay" from
a cop, who was blocking the entrance to my
neighborhood, to come back home.
Well, he finally told us we could come
home. That "the area was secure"
so here I am now...Still shakin like
crazy...Still scared out of my mind.
I'll have more details tomorow about what
actually happened. All I really know is
that one of the compressors exploded.
I'm shaking like crazy guys....

I just figured that since I said i'd have
information I would show you guys this
news article....
| Quote: |
tr> dozens of
northwest harris county residents were
awakened early today by a rupture in a
24-inch gas pipeline near telge and
spring-cypress.
The line ruptured shortly after 1 a.M.
And caused a loud roar, said harris county
precinct 4 constable's office deputies.
There was no fire and no injuries.
Residents were asked to shelter in place
until the leak was stopped about 4 a.M.
Trunkline gas co., which operates the
pipeline, is investigating how the pipe
was ruptured.
