I belive it should be lowered to the age of 18..Everything else is legal at the age of 18 but drinking? Thats stupid..But I think they should have higher penalties for drinking and driving..

Yeah, it should definitely be lowered to 18. As 'rissa said, everything else is legal, so why shouldn't drinking be? It's ridiculous to only have one thing not be legal at age 18!

I think 19. For drinking and tobacco. That way high schoolers who haven't turned 18 yet won't feel as much pressure from those who have turned 18. Most people are out of high school by the time they get to 19. But yeah I agree that 21 is too old.

I dunno I actually think 21 is a good age I think it should be kept at 21, even though I am not 21 yet. I think this because I am still immature at 20 along with most of my friends who go out foolishly and drive after drinking (i dont do this of course, but I used to) I think 21 is a mature age to drink responsibly or should I say more responsibly than 18. I am not saying that everyone is not capable of drinking responsibly at 18 because there are some who can, but it seems like most of the people that live around me that I know arent responsible at all.

It should be lowered to 18, you can strip in a strip club and get paid for it at 18, go to fight in wars and whatever else but you can't have alcohol!!!!

Okay everyyone is probably gunna hate me for saying this... But also know this is from who has never smoked and has drank only once and never will agian! Okay Smile (me)

i agree with my mom when she says I think you should be able to drink before you can be able to drive like... Smoking blah just bam that all together hahah or be like 30 to start! (less likely to get addicted) but yeah drinking should be like 18 and driving around the same time or later like I didnt get my lisence till I was 18 didnt really need it always had a ride but yeah seriously you see all these sophmores who are already alcoholics and then their parents buy em a car and they crash it like crazy trying to hide their party ness and what not I mean like yeah I am not dissing the young drivers there are plunnnty of good young drivers but there are soooo many stupid ones... I mean my little brother is 15 1/2 and got a car already and hes almost scared to drive haha because he knows how bad some teens can be.. I think you should have to wait to mature into adult ness around 18 or so to drive and know the consequences of what alcohol can do to you before you get behind a wheel I mean yeah there red ribbon week and caca in school and at thehighschool I went to they would like get old cars that were from teens in drunk drivign situations that were medical question up and put em in the quad but like that doesnt teach most teens anything... So let em drink then get sick and see if they wanna drive

okay dont yell at me for postning that pleassseee... I'll delete it if anyone wants me too

i guess its just an opinion I feened off my mom...

I actually agree with you in a way jessamyn!!!! Everyone's maturity level is different....So by the time you are 18..You should be ready even a little but to take on what life has to offer. Don't delete it, I loved it!!

Ummm, that's a hard one cause I drank when I was 18 and 19, but by the time I was 21 I hardly drank at all. It wasn't fun anymore or something. Well, I guess I was more mature by then, but I think if you legalize it at 18 kids will go crazy and party all the time. Not that they don't anyways, but atleast they know it's illegal and they can get in trouble. Whereas, by the time your 21 you are responsible enough and mature enough to go to bars and drink reasonably. Plus, at 18 there's already freedom coming there way I think if you throw it at them all at once it might be overwhelming. I mean if your going to legalize it at 18 than you might as well be offering a 17 or 16 year old a drink. Some 18 year olds can handle being responsible, but most are still in that trying to be cool stage I think. Even 21 year olds go through that, but atleast by then they've had some life experience. So umm, I think 21 I guess. I think driving should be allowed without an adult by 16 though.

21 or older!

Most 18 and 19 year olds are most certainly not mature enough to be drinking. Matter of fact, a lot of 21 year olds cant even drink reponsibly.

There are a lot of issues that would arise if the age limit for drinking was lowered...But my main concern would be driving.

If they lowered the age for drinking it would only increase drunk driving accidents greatly. .B.R.I.N.G. .O.N. .T.H.E. .D.E.At.H.!!!!

18 year olds cant drive responsibly sober...Much less drunk.

Thats just my opinion....
