What reason is there to lower the drinking age? All that would do is increase the number of stupid intoxicated people walking the streets! Thats exactly what we need around here!

Omg there is a law here that says you can purchase the alcohol (only in some places will they actually let you) at 18 but you cant open it until you are 21..Isnt that dumb???

Thats on out most dumbest law list...Lol Laughing

21 or older!

Most 18 and 19 year olds are most certainly not mature enough to be drinking. Matter of fact, a lot of 21 year olds cant even drink reponsibly.

There are a lot of issues that would arise if the age limit for drinking was lowered...But my main concern would be driving.

If they lowered the age for drinking it would only increase drunk driving accidents greatly. .B.R.I.N.G. .O.N. .T.H.E. .D.E.At.H.!!!!

18 year olds cant drive responsibly sober...Much less drunk.

Thats just my opinion....

yay for michelle!

I dont think there should be a age limit. When I went to france there wasnt one and people around my age didnt really care about drink because its always there and its not a big deal. Theres way to much pressure about drinking and if it wasnt a big deal I dont think people would honestly over all do it as much . But thats just my thought

You may think that I am crazy, but I think that alcohol should be outlawed. How many people die a year because of it? (sorry and don't jump down my thorat about it either, my brother and sister were killed by my father 3 years ago because he was drunk) I think pot should legalized. How many violent drunks have you heard of? How many violent pot heads have you heard of? The government could make so much money off of it, and we wouldn't have drinking and driving to contend with. I know that they wouldn't do it unless there were some way to test immediatly on the sence for pot in the blood stream (kinda like a breathalizer for pot), and I totally agree with that, that you shouldn't be alowed to drive and be stoned, but most pot heads would rather eat and then fall asleep than have to drive some where (just for you info, I am not a pot smoker at all, I have tried it a few times, but I have better things to do with my life than do drugs) also, no they should not lower the age for alcohol buying, even people of older ages can't seem to control themselves

i definitely agree with you there. Its a shame that some people just can't handle themselves on alcohol. I don't agree that it should be outlawed altogether, but I will admit there is no other solution.

Probably, but either way...I think some people can have a joint or a drink, and that is fine...If you can do taht stuff in moderation, but a lot of people can't handle that. I dont do drugs nor will I ever...And I wouldnt mind having a drink once in awhile..But oh well...Just my opinion. It only takes one joint and one drink to have a horrible addiction.

I think it's good that america has a drinking age of 21-i've heard that it's very hard to get into clubs if you're under-age & they're strict on i.D. Over here you have to be:
-18 to drink/purchase alcohol,
-18 to go to clubs-some are 21s though,
-16 to do the lottery,
-16 to have sex,
-16 to buy people
-17 to have a driving licence,
-18 to have anal sex!
-and now it's legal to have a certain amount of cannabis on you as long as it's for personal use & not to sell on

over here there are so many 'kids' in clubs that legal people don't care to go-who wants to dance with a bunch of 16year olds?! And i've seen so many people throwing up,injuring themselves & falling out of taxis because they're drunk off their heads-it's so unattractive! I think 21s a good age because it's so much more mature than 18 & although not all 21 year olds may be mature you can generally argue that they'll be a lot more responsible with their drinking then a teenager will be.Idk that's just what I think
