Cold???
Posted: 10-22-03 10:10am

Hi:

do your fingers and toes turn white or blue when you are cold? Have you been tested by your dr for reynards syndrome? Reynards syndrome is one of the family of autoimmune diseases, basically it causes a reduction in the circulation to your extremities and can cause this cold feeling....

Hope this helps - stephanie

Have it. Known about it since I was diagnosed with sle over three years ago. I think most of us with sle are told about it at diagnosis, because raynaud's phenomenon (or syndrome, depending on where you look) is seen pretty often in sle patients. Well that and most systemic lupus patients also tend to have other autoimmunes diseases with their sle.

Thanks though,

I am sorry, I may have been unclear, this was in response to the post by hlp about being cold all the time.

I should have addressed the post more clearly.

No prob...It was very helpful and a good idea to ask. There are so many things that can occur...One never knows when things have been missed!
