Just got back from having half of my staples out.
Spoke with my consultant and the chances of this happening are like one in over a million.
If I hadn't kept going back to hospital and complaining chances were I would have collapsed within a day or so and probably both lost our lives.
They can't understand why I wasn't more "ill".
I saw the photo's of my op (they photo'd my guts yay) which were taken for training purposes.
The staff are still shocked that I am up and walking not to say home given I struggled to leave intensive care on sunday!
I'm stiff and sore but I really don't think I can manage 12 weeks off work.

Ohh and...

I had a drip in the back of my hand, and the other hand, oh and I had one in ech wrist (in the arteries) ohhhh and one in the crook of my left arm...... A.N.D.......... I had one in my jugular vein on the right of my neck - it had 5 lines coming off it each with 3 blocks on the end (looked like I had stickle bricks hanging from my neck) the "tube" inside was 4 inches long and 3 millimetres wide!!!!!

I'm glad that you're up and doing (physically) well. And i'm definitely glad that you kept complaining... Sooner or later doctors have to realize that when a woman complains of pain, it's not just a phantom or "natural" pain! And as for all those tubs and lines... Sounds like loads of fun. I hope you're doing as well in your heart as you seem to be doing outwardly. We're all here for you. You and baby oliver reese are in my thoughts and prayers.

I know it's hard, but i'm happy your getting well physically. I know the emotional part takes quite some time, and you may not get over it, but just know that oliver may not be there with you physically, but spiritually, in your hearts.

I will never "get over it" but I have come to terms with the situation, what must be must be no amount of worry will solve that so the only way to go is forward.
Some might think me odd even uncaring - that is so not true. However I have spent most of my life not wanting children... I was kinda attached to this little guy but life must move on, you can not live in the past, so I will talk about .Oliver I will remember and we will celebrate his existence, not mourn his death.
