Ok now my mom just called, I guess her
computer has stopped working completely...
She is ordering a dell tonight. But
anyways, I want her computer but I have no
idea if it will ever boot up again...
What does it mean when it says "unable to
access hard drive" "opening system not
found on any devices press any key to try
again"... She kept on trying and trying
and it wont do anything... Do you think
its completely junk now? It has done this
before, but I dont remember what it said,
but I turned it off a couple times, and
then it worked again. Oh yea, I guess
that bill (her computer guy) was man
handling her computer while putting in the
ram, and he even broke off the swing door
that hides the cdrom and rewrittable
drives. So its like 99.9% his fault that
computer doesnt work anymore. She is very
very angry, now that I told her that it is
possible that he could have scratched the
motherboard... So can you buy new parts
to fix that? Or is that whole computer
junk and should just be thrown out? Im
pretty handy when it comes to electronic
stuff but I have never been inside of a
computer before... How complicated is it?
Sounds like whatever he did he did it to
windows because windows is your operating
system, if you cant get into windows I
dont think theres a whole lot you can do
unless she is willing to hire someone to
fix it which I wouldnt do because they
will charge you out the a$$ to tell you
that your computer is broke and they cant
fix it! Well thats how it usually
happens anyway, it sounds like her comp is
a compaq with the swinging door and ill
let you know now those are j.U.N.K.!!!

Yea lol it is a compaq, and I know they
are .J.U.N.K!!!! I just want it so I can
go on yahoo messenger and so I can upload
my pic off my digital camera... I have a
crappy mac thats outdated so I cant do
.caca on it except get online, and its
soooo slow!! From what it was saying
before ("harddrive detects immanent
failure" and we had to press f1 to boot it
up) erin said it sounds like he scratched
the motherboard... Windows worked just
fine, its just getting it to start up. I
hope it will work for me at least a little
bit, or I hope that dell will accept kevin
soon(he had no credit so they wouldnt give
us a computer before). I want yahoo
messenger and I want to be able to use my
digital camera at home!!

Yeah sounds like you just need to
reinstall windows. That should fix those
two problems. If the motherboard is
scratched, you can get another for about
$50.

Ok sounds good erin... My mom called a
bit ago, she got it to boot up, and she
ran a compaq diagonistic test, and
something came up, and it tried to fix
itself... Im gonna call her back and tell
her I still want her computer, and that I
found her a good one lol.
