My ultra sound revealed I had thick
uterine lining. Gyn(nurse practioner)said
for me to take provera 10 days and then I
would have a period, and they would redo
it,looking for cancer,i guess. I am 47,so
my periods are ight, and they told me in
march I was not menopausal. I am 100
pound overweight,so I assumed at my
age, light periods were normal. Now I am
scared, and think they should have did a
biopsy before I have to wait, for another
few weeks.What do you think?

I know its difficult but do try not to
worry, my mother had a similiar problem
and she was taken into hospital and had a
camera inserted to look at her womb
without surgery, it turned out she a
fibroid which was causing her thickened
womb and she was also they discovered
beginning the menopause, they had also
told her she wasnt menopausel, a month or
two after the camera investigation she had
about 6months of really bad and heavy
periods caused by the thick womb lining
and then nothing, she has been period free
for one and half years now and offically
through menopause. I would keep seeing
your doctor and insisting on further
investigations but at the same time keep
calm. Hope everything is ok
