Im gonna warn u ladies not all babies get
this but it is extremly common. I made a
post a while back about doms head shape
well everyday I am noticing more and more
that the right side is flat because he
always lays on his right side. His
pediatrician said it should change once he
starts sittin up on his own but if not by
like 6 months, they have to wear these
helmets! Im so worried now. Although it
is important to keep ur baby on his/her
back give them as much tummy time as
possible and try to lay them on each side
when sleepin or use a towel to help them
because if ur baby lays on one side
constantly trust me by like 2 months old
u'll begin to notice it. It looks like
doms ears are in diff places and they are!
Im so mad and wish I would have known of
this be4 and ways to prevent it I hope it
does outgrow its odd shape like his doc
says, I wouldnt want him to have to wear a
helmet. U only motice it when looking at
him from the back no where else. ~ erica.

So you are saying it's best to change
their position from time to time.
Thanks for the insite and I also hope
your baby will out grow it too. Sorry to
hear that.

Lol, my daughter still has some what of a
flat spot on the right side of her head
(thanks to that darn sleeping wedge!!)
but unless it like mess with brain
development I wouldn't let them do any
thing about it. My daughter is almost 2
and hers has almost completly corrected
its self.

Brooklyn has a little flat spot, I knew
about how you should switch sides
everyother night and such... When she
would sleep on her back, she would always
look the same way so even if I turned her
the opposite way in the crib it didnt
help... Now I prop her up with a blanket
and I switch sides everytime I feed her
(you know how you gotta switch breast
every feeding, I switch sides that she
sleeps on so its easier to get her back to
bed.)

so stay that way according to his doc and

Ethan has the exact same thing, but they
never told me about the helmet thing. It
wouldn't do any good now anyway, because
he's almost 9 months.
