Hello, i broke my right femur in a road accident 2 years ago. Doctors used a rod to fix it with 2 screws at both the end. Fracture was 3/4 inches above knee. They removed upper thigh screws after 1 year thinking fracture will be fixed due to body weight. But it is still non-union with a gap of 1 cm. Now they are going for bone grafting. Is it right and safe? Is operation only remedy? Can it not cause further trouble? I am distress. Operation is on 9th nov. 2004 I am suffering from depression too. Can anyone tell me what to do?
