Should I Or Should I Not.

Should I take the epidural? I mean I know
it slows down labor and crap, and without
the epidural I won't feel any pain, so I
won't have the "urge" to push. And i'm
such a weak girl, I think i'll need
contractions for the urges to push..
But im afraid of the pain!

You'll still get the urge to push even if
you do have an epidural. It feels like a
bunch of pressure in your pelvis. I had
the epidural and I loved it. It helped
sooooo much. I couldn't feel any pain at
all, only the tightening of my stomach
whenever I had a contraction. I'd say go
for it, it really helps.

Bleh...I didn't have any pain medicen...
But it's your choice..I say..Try to not
have pain medicen so in the end you can be
like hurmph i'm tough..*rawr*...I had a
baby and felt it all...What can you do?

Actually about the slowin the labor down
when I was debating to have it done I
asked my doc about it and she said it
makes it a hair longer so it wont make it
super long. I had the epidural and it
helped out sooo much I didnt feel any pain
and I had the urge to push lol just ask

I thought I was gonna have troubles pushin
and thought I wasnt gonna be strong enough
but o brother was I wrong lol. They count
to 10 but I made them count to 20 because
I didnt wanan stop pushin lol. When u get
to that point ull be strong enough dont
worry hun

Lol trust me u'll want it. I was begging
for it! It all depends on how u handle
pain. I thought I was gonna be tough n
not have one but when they started comin
back to back thats all I could think of.

Ka the epidural did not slow down my
labor. I was gonna go natural but no!!!!
I got the epidural when I was betwwen 2-3
cm...I wasnt supposed to but the nurse
felt sorry for me cause I was crying so
hard, but after I got it, within a hour I
was at 9 cm. I sped up my labor....After
about an hour and a half I was pushing.
But the downside for me was that I did not
have the urge to push, I could not feel
anything! The nurse had to look at the
moniter and tell me when to push otherwise
I would have just sat there waiting for
them.

I am hoping for an epidural but will have
to find out what drug combo they are going
to be using for the epi and then see if I
can even have it because I am allergic to
some of the drugs they can use in the
epidural. I hope I can have it. Dahli
and baby surprise!!

Girlie do what u feel is best for u and ur
body. I said my whole pregnancy I want
drugs I want drugs and then my labor was
so awesome and so short that I didnt need
them!
