I am 32weeks along in my pregnancy my doctor just set up an appointment to go to get a fetal echo I am worried cause I do not know what is giong to happen at this appointment please anyone who has had this done before please help me to understant more..... Sad

Fetal Echo
Dear raylias,

you have absolutely nothing to worry about. A fetal echo is very simple and nor you or bubby will suffer any pain in the process. A fetal echo is just a normal ultra sound, the only difference will be that the person doing the ultra sound will zoom right in on the fetal heart and look at the heart beat rate etc. A pediatric cardiologist will probably do the ultra sound, as he/she will need to know what they are looking for.
