Yes...Babies are cute...But they change your life completely. You have to grow up real quick because you are no longer taking care of yourself but a whole other life is depending on you. Live your life and one day you will know when to bring another life into this world!

Oh god........After getting used to the idea that I was pregnant back in september when I actually had the flu and my period was two weeks late, I went through hard core baby fever. Before that I didn't want kids until I was 23 or older.....And i'm still fighting bf! But it's not as bad anymore, and I know that having a child right now is not smart. So for now on, i'm going to be super super smart when having sex, lol!

Ok, now that I think that i'm going to start my period tonight, I am so sad and I have baby fever again. I can't believe it, I was so totally preaching, we'll be smart, I don't want this if he doesn't, but now i'm about in tears bc now the dream is like, over for me ! Lol. I'm weird, I know. I'll get over it in a few days. Smile

Bellaxox---im sorry to hear that you are dealing with these feelings...I have never been through it. You are 15 right?? Man...When I was 15 I hated boys, played lots of sports and was busy with school...I dont think I once thought about babies thats why it is so hard for me to understand such a young person would want a baby so bad. I guess I would just say think about your life!! You have so much more living to do...You have to finish school, and do whatever it is you want to do before you have to take care of someone else. What does your boyfriend think about this?? I think you are making a smart decision by waiting....Keep it up!

Wow, I never had baby fever as a teenager... I avoided stupid boys and concentrated on my education and went to uni and got a great career... It wasnt until I got married at 24 that I suddenly wanted babies reeeeeally badly!!! I've been married just over a yr now and am preg for the 2nd time and have been clucky pretty much the whole time! Think it's got something to do with being married and in a stable relationship... Cos before then I hated kids and stupid men Embarassed

Leni--i agree! When I was 15 my parents pushed me with school, homework, sports, all that. My education was number one. When I think back, I was so worried about my grades, I dont know what I would have done if I wanted a baby!! Although this pregnancy was not planned, and it was a major shocker...I thank god that I have a couple years of college behind me so im already off to a good start giving my baby the best...I think having a baby and trying to graduate highschool adn getting off to college would be extremely hard.

Sarah, I agree with u too! I also dont know what I would have done if i'd had baby fever as a teenager... I was too busy with everything to even consider anything besides school and other stuff... Then uni and work took up all my time.. Then my job and friends took up all my time after that! I guess a lot of teenagers arent as busy these days as we may have been at school so they've got more time to think about other stuff.

Gaby, being baby crazy at 15 must drive u and the other girls nuts tho .. Cos it's sure hard to deal with even when ur older! Not being rude or anything tho, really, but it would probably be easier to deal with if u didnt hang around pregnancy forums.. That must make it a lot worse talking about baby related stuff all the time.. But I know how addicting they can be!

I guess the way to deal with baby fever is to enjoy the time you have with babies belonging to other people... But at the same time to enjoy doing things now that u wont be able to do when ur older.. Finish high school, do some more education, get a job, socialise a lot, basically just have a heap of fun with your friends without having to worry about responsibilities. At the same time, plan your long term future.. Plan hypothetically for a wedding one day and baby making after that and how much better it will all be when you're stable both financially and in a long term relationship.. Doing everything in the right order makes a world of difference! Your friends and family are happy for u when u finally get preg and they know you have a partner to look after u... Also u know u'll be able to provide for the little one.. Also it's sooooo great to be able to look back on your teenage yrs and look at all the fun u had without having the hassle of adult experiences and adult responsibilities.
Hope that helps in some way Smile
