Ok so on the weekends I volunteer at the
childrens hospital down town, well there
is this little boy named thomas he is a
four year old and such a cutie!! He is
so polite and everything is please and
thank you...He has been in and out of the
hospital for a 3 over a months, he was
diagnosed with lukemia...So this last time
he got really sick when his family went
camping and they called flight for life
for him
anyways he always ask's the nurse's if I
am there today well yesterday I was and so
I went up to see him....He asked me why
his parents always cry and if they were
mad at him ...I told him no they are not
mad at you they love you sooo much they
are crying because they want you to get
better so you can go ride your new
bike..(we, the volunteers bought him a
bike, when he got out of the hospital the
last time..) then he goes well tell my
parents not to cry anymore because its not
there fault I am sick and it makes him
feel sad when they cry....His parents are
both a reck as you can imagine....I said
well its ok to cry he said but that means
your are sad and I dont want to make them
sad....Oh my gosh I was about to loose it
but I didnt want to cry infront of
him...Then he goes well when I learn to
ride my bike will they be happy again? I
said they are already happy hunny they
cant wait for you to ride your bike!!
Anyways then he just changed the subject
and asked if I could go get shreck for him
to watch ----i went to holly wood video
and bought him the movie and I little
donkey stuffed animal and he was sooooo
excited to get it!! He called me today
to ask me to come watch it again with him!
So I am going in about 2 hours....It
really is a rewarding job to volunteer at
that hospital it is also really hard
sometimes but I just thought I would share
this with you all.....

Yea like I said it can be a real hard
thing to do but at the end of the day it
is soooo rewarding ya know!!! They
offered me a full time job there but I
thought about it and I dont want/need to
get paid for doing something like this to
help out, I mean its the least I can
do....I hope they are treating him well
too!! I am sure they are.....I will say
my prayers for him as well what is his
name if you dont mind me asking?

Wow...I sooo couldn't volunteer for
something like that... I volunteered with
the red cross a couple of summers ago,
working at a vet clinic...I cried from
that!! No way could I deal with sick
people!

Aww that was so nice. I would be so heart

hard not to cry.
That was really nice of you.
God bless
