I Think I Have Panic Disorder!!!!
Posted: 11-07-04 22:31pm

Hey everyone!!! Okay, I experienced my first panic attack a couple months ago, and have had four since then. I'v done some research on them and found that many people have them and you can't die from them...Although I feel like i'm going to. For those of you who don't know what a "panic attack" is, I will try my best to explain:
panic attacks are surges of intense terror when there is no actual danger or threat.
The physical symptoms are:
*a racing, pounding or skipping heartbeat
*cheast pain or discomfort
*sweating
*trembling or shaking
*difficulty breathing
*a choking feeling
*nausea or abdominal pain
*dizziness
*numbness or tingling
*hot or cold flashes
*feeling of unreality (feeling seperated form the body)
*fear of losing control or dying
i have had many of these symptoms during my attacks which come on suddenly. "panic disorder" is diffrent though. It is a disorder marked by sudden attacks of fear..... (constantly being affraid you are going to have a panic attack). I'm beginning to get more and more like that!!! I don't want these things to get any worse, but I also don't want to have to be on any kind of medication to stop them. I guess what I am trying to say is that I don't want my happiness to be in a pill. I'd love to have a friend who is going through this very same thing and has the same outlook on it as I do!!! So, someone get back to me on all of this :d good luck to all of you!!! You are all awesome for being there for one another!!!!

:p teresa
