I Thought I Wanted to Be Pregnant!!! Help!!! Posted: 11-09-04 10:10am
Hey ladies!!! I'm 18 years old and at the
beginning of september, I accidently got
pregnant and had a miscarriage. I was
hurt so badly by the miscarriage that I
thought the only thing that would make the
pain go way would be to actually have a
baby. So, I convinced my boyfriend that
this is what I really wanted, and we have
been having unprotected sex every other
day since my last period ended. My period
for this month is due on the 16th. I am
now unsure that I want a baby. I'v talked
with a few young mothers who say they wish
they would have waited! Also, my mother
thinks that I am still on the pill..Which
I stopped taking a month ago!!! It's to
hard to tell her that i'v been lying to
her. My boyfriend and I plan on moving in
together on the 11th of feb. How am I
going to tell himthat I changed my mind
about wanting a baby? He is in his junior
year of nursing school and I plan to start
writting classes soon.....Needless to say,
we don"t need a baby yet
I feel so stupid for thinking that I
wanted a baby and that I could handle
it!!! Even though my period isn't due for
another week, i'm so afraid that I may be
pregnant!!! Help help help!!! Please!!!

I dont know what to tell you... Tell your
boyfriend that you had a reality check,
and you realized that having another baby
isnt gonna make it better, it will just
make everything else harder. Well the
thing with when you are ttc, you wont get
pregnant when you want to, but then when
you least expect it, bam, your pregnant...
I thought I was pregnant right after I
started going out with my boyfriend, and
we got so used to the fact of having a
baby, that when I found out I wasnt, it
broke my heart, and made me want a baby
soo bad. Me and kevin had unprotected sex
for a year before I got pregnant. I wish
I would have waited, but I would never,
ever trade my baby in for another chance.
Im happy with my baby, but the thought of
being tied down for the rest of my life
kinda makes me sad. But dont get me
wrong, I love my baby so much though. I
beleive that everything happens for a
reason, and god helped me get pregnant
with brooklyn cuz she is good for me. I
wouldnt be anything, nor would I try to
accomplish to be anything without her.

Wow. I know what you mean about wanting a
baby. Having kids has been my dream ever
since I was 15. And now that i'm in
college and on my own, I know how tight
money can be and how hard it is to just
take care of me. I'd definitely talk to
your boyfriend and see what you two want
to do about it if you do happen to be
preggy. Until then, I wouldn't worry to
much because the stress can make your
period off. Good luck!

Thanks for all the responses girls!!!
It's great to have people to talk to
without them thinking less of you for what
you've done. I plan to talk to my
boyfriend (jason) about everything
tonight. Yes, we'd be stable enough to
support the baby but it would be very
difficult, we'd have to struggle for sure.
Abortion is out of the question, I simply
don't believe in it. Lilmamma, you have a
beautiful baby wow. How old are you if
you don't mind me asking. I know,
everyone has told me that stress can cause
your period to be late, which is why i'm
thankful for you guys!! I have someone to
talk to about it, instead of keeping it
all in my mind and stressing about it.
Umm.... Can someone tell me how early I
can take a home pregnancy test and what
the best brand to use is? How soon do you
start to have pregnancy symptoms? What
are the main symptoms? You ladies please
keep posting and help me out!!! Good luck
to all!!! You are all awesome

You can test positive on a pregnancy test
from 5 days before your period is supposed
to start all the way until your 2 weeks or
more late for your period! A lot of
people told me to buy the $1 tree test!
It's only a dollar and it picks up small
amounts of hcg. Hope this helps!

Hey again girls!!! Well, I talked to my
boyfriend (jason). I explained to him
that I was so afraid of having a baby
right now, and told him that I wish I
would have taken his advice and waited to
try for a baby. He kind of sat there for
a second, then said "you know I love you
right..And no matter what, we'll be fine,
with or without a baby." I was so relieved
to hear that...I thought he was going to
get really mad and say...I tried to tell
you, but you just wouldn't listen.
Anyways, we had a long talk about it, and
now all we can do is hop efor the best and
wait on my period to get here. I'll keep
you all posted!!!

"ensure that the choices you make today
are choices that you can live with
tommorow"... Lol, I dno maybe thats not
helpful... But I saw it in a doctor's
office and thought it was really
insightful... I never think before I
act.. Hence my being pregnant.. But yea,
I hope things work out for you!
Goodluck!!

Yes, that is very insightful...I wish
someone would have told me that before I
decided to have un-protected sex...But
even then, I probably wouldn't have
listened!!! I was so determined to have a
baby, I didn't listen to anyone... Not
even the man I wanted to father my baby.
Can you really take a dollare store
pregnancy test 5 days before my missed
period??? Can anyone tell me what the
early signs of pregnancy are? When do the
symptoms usually begin? Thanks to
everyone for all the help!!! Please keep
posting!!! Good luck to all!!!!

Hey sweetie, I know how you feel, I lost
my baby due to a miscarriage, and wanted
to try for another one right away, because
I felt so empty. My boyfriend and i,
decided that it wasn't the best
time...That I better heal emotionally and
physcially before we try again. None the
less, we decided to wait to have any
further children.
Answers to your questions,
yes you can take a dollar tree test and
if it just as accurate if not more than
some of the more exspensive brands!!

Hey girls!! I just wanted to thank you
all again for being concerned for me.
Today i'v felt very sick...Like i'm going
to throw up any minute. I'v had a head
ache and i'v had to use the bathroom
constantly (pee). The bottom of my
stomach is also very hard??? My nipples
have been sore for a few days now also.
Um... I read that an early sign of
pregnancy is neasea, vomiting and "a
number of other stomach problems." well,
for about the past week i'v been having
trouble doing number 2
is this a symptom by chance?? Have any of
you who are or have been preggy had any
problems with that?? I think I may just
be worrying myself to death... I'm so
afraid of being pregnant. I don't want
life to be any harder than it already
is!!! Well, please get back to me
ladies!!! Thank you all, and good luck to
all!!!

I know... I just hate waiting!!! My
period isn't due for 5 more days... And I
really can't aford one of those early
response tests. My boyfriend is going to
be in on saturday and sunday so I plan to
take a test then. I just want to know so
that I can move on with my life instead of
this being on my mind constantly!!!

I would wait about 2-3 days then try it.
I am serious.
All, or at least most of those symptoms,
are probably in your head. I mean don't
take what I say as gospel, but the first
indication you'll probably have is a
positive pregnancy test. At least this
is how it was in my case (everyone is
different). I didn't get any symptoms
really until I was 7 or 8 weeks. When I
was about 5 or 6 weeks, my boobs were
really sensitive, but that's all.
