Lower Back Pain And Other Symptoms...
Posted: 10-15-03 15:56pm

Hey all! Apparently something happened to my other post, so i'll retype it. I'm 17 years old and I have been experiencing lower back pain that reaches down to my buttox since friday afternoon. I thought it was perhaps something that I did by accident to my back muscles. The following morning I noticed that there was bright red blood in my stools. I started to worry then. Over the next few days it turned to a dark red. I would of liked to of called my doctor, but it was saturday. So I made the appointment for yesterday (tuesday). I told him about the problems and immediately his eyebrows raised. He then wanted a urine sample and gave me a three stool test/lab that I am to bring back to him. So now, I was afraid that it was kidney failure. Later that day around 2pm I started to get a headache which turned into a fever and only started to subside around 8pm and took until 12pm. At the same time I started to get a headache, the pain in my lower back started to go away (at least, to the point where it's almost dull). Around 6:40pm I urinated and noticed that it was cloudly/milky, as if it was a urinary tract infection, I hope. That was some relief. Around 7:00 I began to feel nauseous. That lasted until around 1030/1100pm and never vomitted. Around 9/10pm I went to urinate, again, and discovered that the urine was starting to bubble/foam up. That shot fear up my spine, but then I remembered I had ate chicken for dinner, so hopefully it's just the chicken proteins cause it was cloudly/milky before. Today, I woke up and am still discovering that I am urinating and still is bubbling/foaming. Again, hopefully that's just because I haven't flushed the proteins of the chicken out. Through all this I have yet to notice anykind of blood or dark color to the urine.

My question is.. If it's a urinary tract infection, how come my stools contain blood? I don't recall straining on the toilet or of the such. And why is it lasting for more than just a few days? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
