Signs of Labor

I have had like all the signs of labor for like 1-2 weeks and yet nothing has happened. Im 37weeks and cant wait to get my body back. Anyone know way to tell when labor is closer? And how to deal with the constant aches and pains?

Hey hun! I know how you feel!! Signs of labor include, close and persistent contractions that start at the top of your uterus! Mild contractions feel exactly like late term braxton hicks, so its hard to tell the difference! Your water may break, diarrhea. What I did to relieve aches and pains was went swimming, *alot*!! I live in arizona though so it is still in the 90's and 100's here, but your in cali so it should still be in the 80's right? Try walking, squating, any position that seems weird seemed to help! Good luck with your labor and delivery!! And hun getting your figure back won't be hard!! I had my daughter two weeks ago tomorrow and I am almost back to were I was before I got pregnant!! Keep us posted!

Much love

I mowed my lawn and cleaned obsessively. Is your Dr. Not considering induction? I lost my plug the day I went in labor.

My doctor hasnt even mentioned induction yet, but is already commenting on the rather large size of the baby. I know that he is already bigger than my daughter was and she was 8 pounds at birth, so im now wondering how I am going to get this child out if I go full term or late like I did with my daughter. Am having constent discomfort things I never got with my daughter. But I have had the clenaing urges, the baby has dropped, I have been having flu like symptoms on and off for a few weeks, and the braxton hicks contractions have gotten worse and much more often, I have had a little spotting, and sharp pains in the vagina (which I read are a sign of dilation) but nothing more. I am getting so frustrated

I would try walking a lot. I did this when I was ready to deliver. If you have a mall near you go there and walk kind of fast for an hour. Do this a lot. Have you lost your mucus plug yet? Has she been checking you to see if you're dilated?

As a medical student I say you should get a new doctor. Doctors are ment to check you frequently and if yours hasnt then she is not doing her job. Your doctor should do a full examination of you. I think your best bet is to make an appointment with another doctor or the hospital. Hospitals will always except you in if your pregnant for examinations. Well they do in australia.
