Not much help, but make sure ur bath/shower water is not too hot, the hotter the water the harder it is on ur skin. Also baths r better for ur skin the showers, they don't strip the skin off as much moisture. Obviously use dandruff shampoo. ....

Dry, scaly exfoliation of skin from the scalp leads to itching but is more of a cosmetic problem. Homeopathic medicine has good remedies like thuja, kali sulph, cantharis, sarsaparilla etc. To see that scaly scalp is reduced and also to prevent recurrence.

May be this topic is too old, but I just singed up for this forum and I want to answer this question any way.
I am not a professional, but I am researching dandruff topic for more than one year. I get rid of my dandruff by 95%.
There is a lot of useful information on internet. It is not easy to find but it is a lot. Some info cost money. But from my opinion it better to invest in knowledge then in bottle of shampoo.
Anyway here what I think. You need to try different solutions until you’ll find what is really helping you.
I prefer home remedies. Here is the one that very effective.
Wash your hair with warm apple cider vinegar, leaving it for 15-20 minutes and then rinsing it with plain water. The problem is the smell of the vinegar. But it does evaporate fast.

* smear honey on the peeling area, massage gently, and leave for 45 minuets then wash. Repeat every day for 2 weeks or until dandruff is gone.

* massage hair with pure coconut oil daily.
Mix 2 tablespoons of fresh apple juice to 2 tablespoons of warm water, apply on hair, rub, leave for 10 minutes and wash off. Repeat 2-3 times a week.

* rub olive oil into scalp, leave for 5-10 hours and wash off.
Crush 1 aspirin and put it in a regular shampoo bottle, mix well and wash hair.

* pour apple cider vinegar on hair and massage well, leave for a few minutes until it's dry and then wash. Repeat until peeling is gone.
Cut an onion into big slices; tie on the feet with a big cloth for half an hour.

* yemeni med: saturate 1 teaspoon of fenugreek seeds (hilba) in a glass of water, use to wash the hair. Then apply some olive oil on the hair. Repeat a few times.

Good luck
