Ok, i'm still sorta new here, but some of
you have seen me around. Anyways, my bf
(kayla's daddy) is in prison. He was
supposed to come home next month if he
made parole and everything was looking in
his favor. For starters, nobody in the
incident was hurt physically, he hasn't
gotten into any trouble since he's been in
the system, and the texas prison system is
already over crowded. I called their
operators yesterday and they told me that
he didn't make parole. I am so shocked
and sad today. This means kayla has to
go one more year without a daddy and I
have to go one more year without him too.

Britt- i'm so sorry! Is she allowed to go
see him at all while he's there? I know
she can't have contact visit (a visit
without glass) because she is so young.
But if you went without her, you could
visit w/o glass. I know that big rudy's
dad is in jail. Too and when they visit
with lil rudy, they have to visit behind
glass. But if they go without him, they
get a contact visit.

I can't visit him w/o glass because we are
not married. I was thinking we could get
married (because you know they do that in
jail) but heck I deserve better than that.
I was only thinking that so that way he
could actually hold kayla for the first
time. He still hasn't held her and has
only seen her in person once. I feel
sooo bad. And I can't tell him. I
can't. I'm going to wait until he gets
the letter and writes me to tell me about
it.

Honey I went thru the same thing kinda but
dennis wasnt in jail that long..He only
got 4 mths..But it was so hard..And I know
it will be extremely hard for you..But
just remeber absence makes the heart grow
fonder..And really it is true..It may be
you seeing him thru glass hun but its
better then nothing..If you guys can
overcome this you guys can do
anything...Good luck hun

Thanks girls. This is really tough.
And when I went to pick up kayla right
after I found out, I just picked her up
and held her and cried for a couple of
minutes. She doesn't realize that she is
the only thing of his that I have.

Hey britt is there not another time he can
qualify for parole? I had a friend who
went to jail for a year and in january
they wouldnt give him parole but they did
in march for some reason and he really
wasnt supposed to get out until january of
2005, but I also live in sc so it could
just be different down here.
