Why is this the only forum that seems to have this problem?

Are we not adults?

It is incredibly difficult to discern between the real, argument bearing posts and posts which are only intended criticize or degrade another poster.

I think we should ban the word "lie" on this forum since so many have such adverse feelings for it. Try, "you are misinformed", or "that is not factually supported".

In the interest of the free exchange of ideas and opinions, can we please stop throwing insults at one another?

Jen that is a great idea, to a point and I will not discuss the point. Therefore, I have never met such mis-informed pro-lifers in my life and believe me, I am no spring chicken even though their are some that do have some good points and I have known many and this is a fact and I do not have to prove myself as I only speak the truth.
Let us drop the religious bible bit too, it is getting out of control and it is making religion look really bad!!
Then again, I don't care if someone wants to call me names, I know what I am, like I said before, sticks and stones.
It is great to have our own opinions, it just shows that we are different people.
Sincerely,
sandy

My "keep the peace" posts are directed at *everyone*. No one seems willing to put aside their differences and come to the table with an open mind to freely exchange ideas. Everyone is soooo caught up in whether he/she called me a liar, that they stop debating at all and it just becomes an insult fest.

I truly think that some would greatly benefit from the actual debate and not just mindless squabling. I also think that some would benefit from obtaining the correct information.
