Hi!!

I went to my doctor's appoitment on friday and i'm 6 weeks pregnant. My due date is approx. July 14th Smile

my doctor has asked me to go take a blood test to check everything out. He forgot to tell me whether I can eat or not before the test? Does anyone know? I guess I take one blood test... Then I drink a liquid and wait 30 minutes for another blood test.

Thanks for your help!!

your glucose tolerance test, you don't have to fast, but it would be best if you didn;t eat for like two hrs b4 the test. Just water. I never heard of a 30 min one though, I always had the 1 hr, and if they come back abnormal you take a 3 hr one and you do have to fast and some labs even have you follow a special diet for 4 days b4 your bloodwork is done and you fast from midnight the night prior to the test... I haven't heard of anyone getting it done quite this early either, when is yours scheduled, you normally have that test done at about 3 or 4 months guess every doc is different

I'll double check the paper he gave me when I get home. I'm getting tested for a million things it seems. Yet I am canadian so perhaps the tests are a little different from country to country.
